Genuinely disappointed. Bought an RC car to only have it break after driving it 3 times. I'd understand if I was rough but they acted like it was normal. I thought it was strange when I got home the car seemed like it was already used. Assumed they just tested it but I guess I was wrong. Bad enough I paid a $20 upcharge. Avoid here at all costs.

I haven’t been to HobbyTown since they moved new location off new Circle. Thought I was gonna walk into an upgraded shop. The shop was unorganized ,dark, barely stocked, compared to what it used to be. Tried asking for help to find a screw, guy just pointed me to a plastic filing cabinet with 1000 miscellaneous different size screws to sort through. Definitely will not be going back.

I bought a Die Cast Master Western Star truck on 2/13/24 after paying $314 cash. I took it home and unboxed it. I installed the batteries and the truck won't even make left turns. I returned it back to them with receipt and the bearded guy gone tell me they don't have enough money to refund me. The manager told me to come back before they close to get my money. I don't know any business that doesn't have refund money for customers.

The guys are super knowledgeable and friendly but the store is in awful shape. It's messy with lots of clutter and smells like pot. It's dark and they don't have good displays of products. I recently went to the Middletown store neat Louisville and it was incredible! It was what a hobby store should look like. Cars and trucks were on display and they had glass cases so you could see accessories. A real awesome store!

Walked in the store guy that drives the orange car and looks like he's high all the time says I gotta go get my food what do you want after waiting patiently while he was being rude to another customer about a bad battery they got with a brand new car. Funny thing is that I'm in there for the exact same thing but mine was a 6s 5000 mah battery. Says sorry can't do anything about it cause I don't know what you did to it. The other hobbyshop I go to (hobbyvilla) checks all there battery's before you leave the store with them. Everyone that works at this location is great but this guy is ride to customers everytime I go in there. So naturally I try to avoid him but today I had no choice. Had to talk to him. I don't have the receipt because the battery was purchased using my account and I need that to claim the warranty but he ran out he door while he was telling me he can't help me. Yes you could have helped me do that but your customer service is trash. Needless to say I'm out $140 and he's was to worried about going to get his food (drugs I would say) than helping me out. I feel bad for the other people that are actually nice and have good customer service there because they have to work for such a loser. Just wanna say as well that if he took the time to even look at my lipo checker ge could have seen that 3 of the cells were in storage and 3 of the cells were completely dead and that it was impossible that I did anything to the battery.the guys just a miserable person and he obviously hates his job. I'll drive 3 hours from now on to go to hobbyvilla in Cresent springs when I need something. I was fine with having to do the warranty through spektrum I just needed a little help getting a copy of the receipt which he cared zero about. I'll just take the loss on this one. I don't ever leave reviews unless there good but other people going to shop there be aware. I just bought it 4 days ago. I've spent $2000 there this month alone. Not to mention I also bought a $650 draco there that was also damaged out if the box. The box was also damaged on the outside and the elevator servo was ruined. I didn't care about that or even bring it up. It's a $15 fix. But I thought maybe they would off some help on a battery bought on Christmas eve and brought back the 26th. But no.

I'm not a fan of leaving reviews, but I'm frustrated, and here is why... last weekend 12/6/23 I went into the store (hobbytown) , and I asked the employee that was behind the counter if they had an Arrma Outcast 8s in stock and he said he said at the moment we're out of stock, and as I was waiting in line I pulled up Hobbytown's website and noticed the truck was in stock online, so I asked the employee if he could order it for me, and he stated if I order it will probably take along time to come in, then he said nothing, so I walked out, I was about to spend $1500 bucks including new batteries and charger and he let's me just walk out the front door, I really want to support brick and mortar stores but it's hard when people's are lazy and don't care, ended up buying one off Amazon and it arrived in two days.

The guys at the counter were super helpful & very friendly. Helped me get the stuff I needed to get my Slash back up & Going. I’ve went to hobby town for as long as I can remember & never once had a bad experience.

The store is ok. I go there for model train stuff, and they have a good selection. It's good, not great. It's the best place in town price wise, but if you have the time, I'd just go to entertrainment junction in cinci. But it's not bad. I'll still go there. Also the only place I've found PECO switches!

Great little hobby store I go here to buy paint and modeling supplies and they have lots of those. Seems like r/c cars are the main focus of the store, they are always demoing them and seem to have a large selection. Friendly staff clean bathroom.

Stopped in yesterday to buy a traxxas nitro truck for my grandson and was given a hundred reasons why I Should Not and instead buy electric , the first thing was “ we are out of nitro gas and the owner orders it in pallets and I don’t know when we will get any “ I clearly stated I was not interested in electric RC but the gentleman continued to try and push me out of buying , I have bought things from here off and on since the late 90s and am the type who hates and tries to avoid online shopping but it’s either that or a drive to Louisville
