The National staff at the Blue Grass airport in Lexington Kentucky were friendly- helpful - cordial in the vehicle selection process on Monday 1/8/24. They offered me options and even went to the Enterprise counter to check their vehicle inventory for me. Once I made a decision on a vehicle they gave me the garage layout and where I could find the vehicle I had selected. It was a 2024 Hyundai Palisade and I really enjoyed the features and options the vehicle offered

Always have great experiences at National Car Rental at Lexington Aiport. Recently, they saved the day for me with a car rental as my vehicle was getting repaired and taking longer than expected. Their customer service has always been top notch and this last time they out did themselves. Thanks to management team and folks at the counter for pick up and return.

This has been and still is the worst experience I have experienced. I initially called in to reserve a vehicle on short notice. I went to this location to pickup an economy vehicle. They notified me that there was not a vehicle available and they would have to upgrade me. Once reviewing the rental agreement I was being charged mid size rates and coverage that I explicitly said no to. After a multiple calls to customer service there was no corrections made. Upon going into the location to get matters resolved they successfully changed the rate to economy and I was told the insurance was removed. I even asked if they wanted to inspect the vehicle prior. Upon final statement I was charged over $900 in coverage. After several weeks of calling customer service I finally received a refund of $450. Then the next day charged $991 for god knows what. I’ve been as nice as a person could be throughout this entire process and this is my last effort to get this resolved. I’m tired of told I will be contacted and not. Someone needs to do something about this issue and make it right. Nothing should ever have to be this difficult.

Beware! Claimed I damaged a rental car, produced no photos showing damage and sent me a bill for $783. The rental car had almost 40,000 miles, lived a hard life and you’re going to charge me for alleged damage to a piece of trim. Avoid these scammers!

Charged me for 3 days, I rented for 2. I even confirmed with the person accepting the car and she committed to taking that extra day off. I walked away trusting her, but 2 mins after making it thru security, she sent me a bill for the 3-day amount. They have no phone number to reach them, now I’m having to go thru prompts and corporate phone lines only to wait 3 days for the folks right downstairs to call me back to do the right thing. What a hassle; feels purposeful to have me walk away then do the opposite of what the right thing to do is.

My rental experience at the National car rental booth at LEX airport was easy and painless. The vehicle was clean and ran fine, upon returning it at the end of the rental period, Taylor was very friendly and accommodating which made the drop off very easy. I highly recommend National for anyone renting a car. The emerald aisle program is very easy too.

National Car came through for me in a family emergency. Jayda made the experience flawless, so professional and accommodating. Pickup and dropoff was so easy! She explained everything so easily. I will book with them again anytime and have referred using National because of experience with customer service rep Jayda!

I was unsure what to expect from a smaller airport and no bypass counter. However, Jayda made the experience painless. She made sure I had a car that met my needs and within my price point. I was comfortable in my rental for the week and Taylor made drop off easy.

Always a great experience at National at the Lexington Airport. I had been flying for 24 hours when I got to Lexington. The gentleman at the counter was helpful and did not rush me (though I am sure he wanted to go home)! The car rental return was equally great. Highly recommend them.

Wonderful experience renting with National. I got a Miata RF which was a blast to drive. Pick up and drop off were easy, agents at this location are friendly and helpful.

The good news: the car was reliable and comfortable (Kia Forte). I was able to change my pick up location on the fly as Delta had cancelled my flight and I ended up coming into a different airport. the bad news: on two separate occasions I REALLY needed to speak to a human AT the rental locations I was using. This was completely impossible and I simply did not have faith that the customer service rep to whom I was speaking sitting in, "I don't know where" actually knew the answer to my questions. And the return location at Cincinnati airport is terribly marked. I ended up looking for the return location for nearly 1/2 an hour.

Most experiences I've had as an Emerald Club member have been wonderful - this one was lackluster. Rate for my rental was wrong, nearly double what I had originally booked. Eventually the rate was fixed, but not without significant pushing on my part. Additionally, while dealing with other significant travel issues over the phone, I was told when at the counter at check-in that I would need to get off my phone before the agent would complete my check-in process. Considering the significant frustrations I was already experiencing due to incorrect rate from this company, a limited amount of time to pick up my rental, and the hassle & issues I was working through over the phone with a different travel company, this was a policy that made an already stressful situation even worse. While I am likely to use National again in the future, my hope is that this is an isolated incident and not something that becomes a pattern.On a positive note, the vehicle we were given had only 2 total miles on it - probably the newest vehicle I will ever drive in my life, so that was a positive about the entire experience and my family was very excited about all of the features and amenities on our rental. The vehicle we rented was wonderful - just hope for less of a hassle next time getting to that point!
