My experience with PackRat has been beyond subpar up to this point. They apparently only have one company with one truck that services the Louisville Metro area. Both my drop off date and delivery date were missed due to the companies only truck being in for maintenance. I get things happen, but do not understand why only one truck is available locally. They had to deliver late both times and have another provider come in from Indianapolis to do the deliveries. That was not enough for me to write this review though. The other part is that when I did get my container, after it was already loaded, I noticed a gash in the container that, while small, would allow water into the container and ruin all of my belongings. They were unable to send anyone out to fix it so I had to patch it myself and hope it holds up. The container also has several door pins that appear to be about to fall out. I don't understand how sending out a container in this condition is acceptable to them. On top of all of that they sent me a spammy looking email saying I had a late payment for a delivery made one day ago and that my payment card on file did not work. I went on to their website and the payment went through fine with that same card. I have an email out to them about this currently. The other thing, their chat service is "AI" which is very annoying when you just want an answer quickly. For these reasons I would avoid PackRat and look for your storage container needs elsewhere.

I wasn't sure at first, but my experience with 1-800-Pack-Rat turned out great! Michael was super friendly and informative, walking me through everything. Even with the tricky slope on my property, they made it work smoothly. I really appreciate their dedication to getting the container perfectly leveled.

My experience with Packrat was outstanding! They offered affordable prices and accommodated my work schedule, understanding the specific timeframe I required. The container was placed exactly where I wanted it, and Michael was always available, eliminating any concerns about hold times. Delivery and pick up on time! I highly recommend for your storage and moving needs!

5 star service. My experience with Pack Rat was top tier from start to finish. The staff were both friendly and very helpful. Moving isn’t the most fun thing to do but Pack Rat made it easy. I have not a single complaint. I would definitely use their services again if I move in the future. I highly recommend their service.

I have utilized services from other companies in the past, but the exceptional customer service provided by Michael has truly stood out. He went above and beyond by personally contacting the Chicago facility to keep me updated on the arrival status, which was truly wonderful.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience with the service provided by 1-800-Pack-Rat. Both the driver and operations manager, Michael, were incredibly responsive and helpful during our move from Florida. They kept us informed about any traffic delays, and Michael even went above and beyond by personally coming to remove a lock from the container when we lost the key. Their exceptional service was truly wonderful, and we would not hesitate to recommend and utilize their services again in the future.

If I could give a 0 review I would. Do not use this company. Communication at it's worse. Moving is stressful enough. This should be the easy part. Scheduling container pick up and drop off. Guess not. New owners are going to move in with a container in the drive way because regardless if we scheduled a pickup via the website, and have confirmation email about the pickup, it did not show in their system.

As a truck driver showed up to pick up pod to be moved to FL no one at facility finally got ahold of someone was told it would be 3 hrs b4 someone would be here to load me not a secure facility and management was a joke

The pod itself has done what it's supposed to do, however the service has been very poor. We schedule to have a empty container to deliver on a Friday, for whatever reason, they couldn't deliver until Saturday. When we called to have it scheduled to be picked up, we were told it would be, that didn't happen either. Was supposed to have been picked up on a Saturday. I received a call from the driver who left a message and I called him back in less than 45 min. Directly after I called him back, I got a call from Pack-Rat saying they couldn't pick up as they didn't have enough drivers. So, they had to pick up on the Monday, the day we closed on the sale of our house. They picked up Monday morning, and dropped it off, where it needed to go for a few months. Now for the pick up of the empty container. It was scheduled to be picked up on Friday 10/27/2023, it wasn't picked up, nor did we receive a phone call. It was rescheduled to be picked up today, 10/28/2023. I called this morning and was told it's a anytime pick up, but was scheduled between 11-3, 3:00 came, and it wasn't picked up. I called back and was told anytime hours are from 8 am to 10 pm. It is now 7:50, and I can almost guarantee it won't be picked up tonight and I won't get a phone call. We have been extremely unhappy with the service we've gotten, but again, the container kept our items dry and contained, but not bug free though. I wouldn't recommend Pack-Rat

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is truly the WORST company I've ever had the misfortune of working with. The slightly lower price than competitors is NOT WORTH it. The first delivery of our pod was 3 days late, leaving us only 1 day to move out of our home. We had to call the company 9 times, spending almost 6 hours total on the phone just to try and get the pod. Now that we're moving into our new home, we scheduled the pod to be delivered 2 days before we actually needed it knowing how awful and late they were the first time around and our pod has still not been delivered even after we called yesterday and had a rep swear it would be there.

I don't recommend Pack Rat if you want your items delivered on time. They supposedly charge a $50 fee to have things prioritized to deliver at a certain time on your delivery day but state they are under "no obligation" to mention it when you schedule everything. I asked to have the container delivered as early as possible but was never offered an option to pay to have it done earlier. Now it's not expected until 6 to 10pm so it's a total waste of an unload day of which we only have 2. I'll have to hire movers to unload the container now spending much more than $50.They provide no way to contact the drivers or potentially switch drivers or delivery contractors to accommodate anything either.We've consistently had issues with scheduling drop offs and pickups and having drivers show up in any reasonable amount of time. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want any scheduling assurances. I'd recommend to the business to allow online signup instead of forcing people to call so that there is a guaranteed question about scheduling delivery times. Or change the sales script to include a mention of the $50 delivery time fee. With a move that costs thousands of dollars people don't mind spending $50 to get it scheduled in a more timely manner. We all have to take off work for these things and it's a huge waste of time waiting around.We also had issues with the actual shipping as they provided no tracking information. I have several Air tags in the container though attached to different items in there so I can see that it sat in one place for days and then arrived 3 days ago in our local facility about 2 hours away. But when I call to inquire about it's location and estimated delivery the reps claim to not know where it is and are not helpful in any way.
