Hours from Jamestown KY. And it was worth every minute. Of no fault of anyone’s but my own;
I managed to drive the first time to pick up a display model jet 1640 lathe. I had only brought up a credit card that I had just acquired a week or so prior. And I managed to throw a fraud alert off and my card got locked.
I received so much reassurance from the young bald manager, and all of his staff and was promised it would be held for me.
I went home straightened my finances and returned the next day. The lathe was waiting with my name on it.
This was a very stressful period for me, and they made every step so smooth. The 3-4 older gentleman and one lady were each so pleasant knowledgeable and nice. I just wish I had not been so tired stressed and running on empty when I had came up and done a better job of writing everyone’s names. Just wonderful, 5 star establishment they even helped me load”

The gentleman in the framing department gave me the numbers to the other stores so I could call amd another gentleman took the frames up front for me as they were heavy and big for the carts. “Just putting it out there that I'm not a very crafty person, but my wife is. She does a lot of sewing and knitting, which is probably over 95% of the reasons I've ever gone to Michaels. I think I wandered into Michaels once to find some scissor or maybe a centering ruler, but there's never much of a reason for me to go in by myself.
It's not uncommon for us to make multiple trips to Michaels when my wife has a project going on. Thread. Binding. Fabric. This little doo-dad or that thingamajiggy. Michaels usually has what she needs to finish/enhance what she's working on.
The selection is usually pretty good and the staff is always helpful. There are more than a few times that some sections are pretty empty. At the same time, there are boxes laying around that, I assume, is newly received merchandise that has yet to be put out.
They recently installed self-checkouts at this location. I (me, Jim) is not a fan of self-checkout...and that's all I have to say about that.
If it's not in stock you can order what you need via the website and (I believe) have it shipped to the store.
The store is usually pretty tidy and well maintained and the staff is friendly and doesn't mind taking you to what you're looking for.”
