The Brown Hotel is an incredible throwback in time, a historic and iconic hotel with 1920’s architecture and period decor. The lobby is phenomenal and transports guests to another era, while the ballroom offers nostalgic elegance. The hotel is beautiful and one of a kind, though it overall needs some TLC. The location is decent and within walking distance to fun downtown spots, with easy, attached parking. The staff is great all around, very polite, accommodating, and incredibly friendly, treating guests like honored guests with excellent service. The dining is magnificent, with wonderful brunch, great food, and spectacular drinks. The famous Hot Brown is wonderful. The rooftop deck on the 16th floor offers nice garden views and glorious sunsets. Rooms can be an issue, sometimes having defects or a very strong musty odor, but they are also described as spacious, clean, and charming with comfy beds. The staff is quick to move guests to a new room if there are problems. Other areas, like the gym, are basic and more of an afterthought, and some floors appear too beat up. However, for those who love nostalgia, it is a clearly not an easy property to maintain but a favorite and unique place to stay.
Lovely experienced. Great staff. Only stayed one night while on a cross-country motorcycle trip. Wound love to come back with my Hubby and stay longer. Food in the lounge was excellent-- very talented bartender.

Enjoyed my stay here, always fun to stay at a non-chain branded hotel that carries its own unique personal charm. Decor is simply stunning. Rooms were spacious, clean and classy. Service was top-notch and professional. Highly recommend!
