The store was clean and very organized, it was well laid out and nicely decorated. Not everything had prices on it, but I also did come in while they were actively stocking the shelves with some things so that very well could be why and I dont feel that it subtracted from the overall shopping experience. I got some chips that were Hotspot flavored that I've never seen before, and I noticed a few other snacks I've never seen in stores before which I thought were neat. I also got a new bottle for my mom that she likes, and I like that it was inexpensive.”

Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
