“Always buy lumber for building projects there and everyone is always so nice and courteous. When I need a small piece of wood like today, a little 24"x24" square for my grandchildren's playhouse door, they let me look through their scrap to see if there's anything that will work and they have never charged me for anything from the scrap pile. I seriously doubt any of the major chains would do the same. We need to support our hometown businesses like Hickman's while we still have them!”

“Nice clean store filled full of merchandise. Service wasn't great as clerk was very UNknowledgeble about the merchandise. I thought they were a little high so I went across the bypass to 84 lumber and they were $50 cheaper on a plain metal door. I was right.”
