Pet smart, they should call the New port location PET DUMMIES!! there is NEVER any worker's in the fish area to help get crickets or fish I always have to go get someone then I ask for some large goldfish I forgot to check them & wouldn't you know it the dummies gave me small goldfish which is way OVER PRICED!! The goldfish are a SCAM?!! they have the small ones MIXED in with the larger ones!!!WATCH THEM!!!???? POOR customer service! MOST inventory is OVER PRICED! DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION TO DO THE RIGHT THING!!! check your items and your money & receipts! ?????? ??

Took my cockapoo to the Newport location for grooming for the first time due to our favorite location being booked and never again. They aren't welcoming with low company morale when you arrive for a scheduled appointment. My dog is long-haired, immediately before feeling the fur the groomer says she'll probably be shaved. There is no back hand introduction to the dog or anything to bring them comfort. When I picked up my dog she is shaved too low, got home and days later I realize both ears had scabs from being shaved. I'll add my dog had just seen the groomer 1 month prior so though her fur is high maintenance and can mat left unbrushed it was not neglected. It's lazy to recommend shaving instead of detangling unless absolutely necessary.

I will NEVER go to the Newport Petsmart again!!! NOT EVER!!!!!! I have spent thousands of dollars at this store since it opened. Always been a problem with checks (which is the way I usually pay). One month ago stood at the register for 30 minutes while they tried to get the register to take the check. Was told “we are converting to a new system “. Went back a month later and now it won’t accept checks at all. Kroger, Walgreens, everywhere else I go does. SO TIRED OF THIS!!! Either fix it or get a better system!!! Also manager at grooming salon insisted my dog’s teeth were infected when they are not. I old her my Veterinarian saw her teeth and said they are not. She has tarter but hasn’t had them cleaned recently because she is being treated for cancer.
When I tell her my veterinarian said her teeth are not infected she argues with me and says “yes they are and I would get another veterinarian “!!!! The hall of that woman!!!!! I am FINISHED WITH THIS STORE!!!!!

Would leave 0 if I could. Took my 5 month old puppy into be groomed as he has long hair and it needed done. Walked in they immediately put a weird leash on his neck and immediately tried to pull him in the back. Didn’t say hi or let him get used to her. Then they told me they couldn’t groom him because he was too “anxious” and needed drugs to be groomed. How about instead of rushing take time to let a dog warm up to you!!!! Won’t be back. Ever!!!!!!!! Very upsetting!

Riley was awesome! We took our baby there for her 1 year birthday. Left smelling good, toenails clipped, clean ears and a birthday bandana. Wore her out! Very happy with the services and price. Thank you!

The staff I dealt with were kind and helpful however I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. I came in and got 51 crickets and a 50 pack of mealworms. When I came home and dug through the mealworm tub there were NOT anywhere close to 50 bugs in it. I will not be buying any mealworms from here anymore.

I would leave a big FAT ZERO if I can, today I met the most rude and unprofessional cashier. He’s shouldn’t be on there if he can’t be nice to everyone. All he said is “phone number”, what happened to Hi how are you? And what about thank you after? I didn’t know if I’m finish check out or not because he’s asking for quarter from another cashier so I just left confuse like does he still owe me a quarter or what? He didn’t pay attention to me nor asking if I need a bag. What a rude rude rude cashier, if you see any guy with piercing on his face and tattoo (if I remember correctly) be very careful because he can be super rude and unprofessional.

Would leave a zero if I could. Crystal just simply didn't want to groom our dog simple as that made excuses from the beginning, we like to see them at 3 months to get used to it, idk what I will be able to do. Literally called us not even 2 minutes after we walked out the door he won't get in the kennel. Just simply say I don't feel like working today. We have another dog that's way more aggressive and not as easy as this dog and you all groom him just fine. We will take all 3 of our dogs else where to groom.
