Best Western Shepherdsville offers a convenient and budget-friendly stay with a mix of positive and negative aspects. The location is praised for its easy access off Interstate 65 and ample truck parking, making it a good choice for travelers and those on road trips. The hotel is generally clean, and guests appreciate its pet-friendly policy and the availability of a free breakfast with waffles, eggs, and biscuits. Staff members, especially front desk personnel, are often described as friendly, helpful, and accommodating, with some guests highlighting exceptional service during special events like the Kentucky Derby. However, the property shows signs of aging, with rooms that are dated and sometimes damp or musty. Some rooms have issues such as flat sheets instead of fitted sheets, dusty light fixtures, and furniture that looks worn. A few guests experienced rooms with a musty smell or minor maintenance problems, but overall, the rooms are considered clean. The hotel’s decor and furnishings could benefit from updates, and amenities like the pool are currently unavailable. Despite these imperfections, many guests find the hotel suitable for short stays, especially for those seeking affordability, quietness, and easy highway access. The staff’s helpfulness and the hotel’s location make it a decent option, though some may prefer more modern accommodations.
Room smells like s3x or something close to it. Not impressed with the odor by far. Not a horrible hotel overall. Has great space for truck parking. Denny’s is next door as well.

Breakfast could have a little upgrade. You do have enough to pick from.

I stay here quite often passing through for work. Always clean, always friendly, and always comfortable. It's easy to get to and far enough out of Louisville to be quiet and not as busy but still close enough to not be a burden. Remodeling right now and it will only get better..
