“The inn is located in a beautiful historic neighborhood just south of downtown. We did an architectural tour of it while we were there and it was beautiful & interesting. The inn itself is warm, welcoming and spotless! Allen is an amazing host and chef - the full breakfasts are delicious (and filling!).”
“Unmatched 7-Night Stay – The Absolute Best in Louisville!
We stay in many hotels, but our 7-night stay at the Aloft Downtown Louisville was next to none. I couldn’t have said anything bad even if I wanted to. From check-in to check-out and everything in between, the experience was absolutely flawless.
The hotel was incredibly clean, and the service was unmatched. As a major bonus, they are completely pet-friendly, and they serve the absolute best coffee to kickstart your day! Every single department blew us away. The bar staff, the restaurant team, and the cleaning crew were all amazing, friendly, and attentive.
I wouldn't do this incredible staff justice if I didn't mention some of them by name. Huge, heartfelt thanks to Ryan, Bevin, Charon, Kati, and Oliver for making our week so special!

“If you’re even thinking about staying at The Grady—just do it. This place is an absolute gem.
From the moment we pulled up, the experience stood out. Our valet, Chance, was incredible. He didn’t just park the car—he knew the history of the hotel like the back of his hand and genuinely made us feel welcomed. The hotel itself has such a unique story, and you can tell they’ve leaned into that boutique, historic vibe in all the right ways.
What really blew me away was how far they went to take care of us. There was a show going on nearby and the hotel restaurant, Wild Swann, was completely packed. Somehow, Chance still managed to secure us reservations—which felt like a miracle given how busy it was.
Speaking of Wild Swann… phenomenal. I had the bone marrow burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. My wife had the mushroom rigatoni and loved it. But the real standout was how they treated our kids. We weren’t sure if they’d be willing to modify anything for them, but they went above and beyond and made simple wagyu sliders (just burger and cheese), and our kids devoured them. That kind of flexibility and care goes a long way.
The overall vibe of the hotel is immaculate—perfect for anyone who loves history and boutique-style stays. It feels intentional, cozy, and genuinely unique.
And honestly, one of the funniest and most memorable moments—we accidentally photobombed a couple taking engagement photos outside by looking out our window… while wearing the Muhammad Ali robes provided in the room. That pretty much sums up the kind of unforgettable experience you’ll have here.
This isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience. We’ll absolutely be back.”

The hotel is beautiful, the only thing preventing the last star for me is that I travel with a service dog and there is no grass area right here for me to take him. Comes with the downtown area for the most part, lots of interesting shops and good food.Walkability: Everything seems to be in a good waking distance.Food & drinks: Lots of food and drink options in walking distance.”

“Good value. Great shower. Comfy bed. Bad pillows, but we bring our own on trips.
Four EV destination chargers on site (NACS/Tesla plugs) - the one I plugged into worked great, although they're slightly expensive ($0.35/kw), but they don't cost extra when car is done charging but still plugged in (no idle fees). Comparable to supercharging costs, but conveniently here while we slept. Chargers looked in good repair. None of the other chargers were being used while I was here on a Sunday night/Monday morning. Breakfast was good for me, but very few options for my wife with dietary restrictions (DF/GF).

“The check-in experience was quick and easy. The location was easy to find and had ample parking.
The room was nice. The beds were really comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. The coffee in the room was decent, but the lobby coffee was better.
The hotel was easy to find. There are no restaurants within walking distance, but several you can drive to. We used Doordash.
The breakfast was pretty good and had a few hot options, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal and plenty of breads and pastries. The muffins and scones were delicious! The employee working the breakfast area was knowledgeable and very kind.
We would stay there again when driving through.”

“Its a little older of a hotel but its exceptionally clean and maintained! Staff was very nice and we never wanted for clean linens or a good breakfast! Honestly for the price we paid were so happy to have chosen this hotel! We stayed 6 nights for a festival and we were very comfortable! If your ok with a 10-20 minute drive to Louisville this is a great place to stay!
My only suggestion would be add a list of channels avaliable or at least which channels have the guides on them cause we realized a few days in that there were multiple guide channels.”

“I can't believe we're allowed to bring our pets and we have a variety! There was something for everyone in the family here . A fire pit NEXT to a pool and hot tub, the gym actually had a water cooler .The hot tub was so warm after our drive it's just what we needed.The low lighting and ambience of the rooms made it easy for us to sleep in and thanks to Harvey for waffles and Autumn,everyone in housekeeping was very attentive to our particular needs! The kitchens make it really feel more like home.We took the walk over the bridge and saw the most amazing view of the Louisville skyline .We will be back for Abby road and the derby.”

There is a bit of late-night noise with 4th street live being so close. The parking situation isnt the best, so we ended up just paying the $45 per night for valet.”

“Success. The primary goal of staying at this Hilton facility was to find and alternative to Hillview, to eliminate the nightlong noise of the landing parcel planes. This location is quiet. No plane noise; facing the intersection some truck noise that was negligible. This Hampton upholds the consistency of professional and pleasant staff and well maintained facility. No issues in the room. Appreciation for the unique task lighting and working surfaces. HVAC and plumbing worked perfectly and bed was comfortable.
I was surprised by egg white omelettes twice in three mornings and same potatoes each day. Instead I chose the waffles which were perfect; like best I ever had by being more browned on outside with maintained soft center. I pondered: due to less use making hotter or thinner mix than most. Whipped cream (not fake) with chocolate chips and walnuts! Great stay at an excellent location that offers a lot of activities and enjoyable eateries within a 30 minute radius. Highly Recommended.”

“I stayed one night while in the area on business. The lady at the front desk (sorry, can’t remember her name) is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The hotel feels pretty new. The room was clean. The ac was nice and cold. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was very good. I’m always a fan of the omelets, and who doesn’t like bacon. No complaints here”

Hark, what a most wondrous and splendid lodging did we find! Each chamber, a world unto itself, didst boast a unique and captivating theme. We, by fortune's grace, didst settle within the Entertainment Room, a sanctuary dedicated to the celebrated players of Louisville and fair Kentucky.
Within these hallowed walls, we found all the comforts of a fine household: a kitchenette, a chest for the washing of dishes, a great larder to keep our victuals, and even a washer and dryer for our soiled garments. 'Twas a true home away from home.
The host himself, a man of most amiable disposition, didst prove a most excellent guide and companion. He was quick to answer our inquiries and didst greet our messages with haste. In the morn, he didst leave sweet muffins for all his guests, and on the first eve, he didst gather us together, a merry company, and didst bake pizzas for our pleasure.
We journeyed to this place for the great Louder Than Life festival, and should fate bring us to that grand spectacle once more, we shall surely seek our rest within these very walls. A more perfect stay we could not have asked for.”
