“This is a nice red roof inn. Outside has been maintained well. Great location if you are traveling and need to stay the night. Rooms were clean and look like they had been updated. Front desk employee who checked us in was friendly. It’s pricier than other hotels around the area. Close to food options. 2 downsides. #1 no breakfast not even fruit or breakfast bars at the rate that should be given. #2 they allow pets no deposit which was an annoyance because person in next room had a dog who barked a bit. Fees for pets usually keeps folks away. Other than that good spot. Would recommend to stay even if needed for extended stay.
Rooms: Clean rooms. Bed was comfortable.
Food & drinks: Burger King and Honduran restaurant nearby.”
“The rooms were ok. It’s an older hotel and could use a little TLC. But it was clean.
But Tina Lena at the front desk was amazing!! She helped me get my reservations corrected. Then she helped me extend it a day. Then she helped me add an additional room for my DIL at the last moment. She was quick and patient and I couldn’t thank her enough for going the extra mile for us. Thank you Tina Lena. My new best friend!!!
Nearby activities: It was close to Southeastern University and we were watching the playoffs. So it was all we needed at the time.”
“We needed a place to stay on our way to New Orleans and found this hotel. We were skeptical at first, but had a great stay! When we arrived, there were no cars in the parking lot and no sign on the hotel so needless to say, we were slightly worried. The desk clerk was friendly, room was clean, and bed was comfy. The lobby looked remodeled and possibly room as well. Another perk was the cheap stay compared to other hotels in the area. Overall, great stay and price!”
“Confortable, clean and service was good.
Rooms: Nice, clean, confortable.
Nearby activities: Next to Interestate 12, close from restaurants and malls.
Food & drinks: Includes Continental breakfast. It was ok.”
“An excellent, unique lodging experience. The rooms belong to a historic mansion and its carriage house in a quiet neighborhood, and each is very private and eloquently designed. Mine had an Arabic theme with a lavish king bed, a massive jacuzzi tub, and a screened-in porch to take in the sounds of the night on. I was not prepared for the breakfast: a full southern meal with restaurant-grade eggs, potatoes, and toast; not the buffet-style stuff you see at most hotels. You can tell a lot of care goes into the accommodations and guest service here, and this is absolutely the type of non-corporate business you should support if you find yourself in East Louisiana.”
“Really nice suite. Cooktop, full fridge, large microwave with counter space and full sink. Lots of space. Wifi was non existent in our room and beds bounced on the hardwood floors as they were not level.
Rooms: We got a ste with kitchenette and two double beds.
Nearby activities: Joyce Wildlife is nearby as is Southeastern La University.
Walkability: Can walk to many restaurants, Walmart, B&J's Seafood, Rouses Grocery, Lowes, Harbor Freight, and gas stations.
Food & drinks: McDonald's, Waffle House, Applebee's, Tiger Po boy, Chic Fillet, Cracker Barrel B&J's Seafood are all in walking distance.
Noteworthy details: The Hotel has a workout center and laundry that you use a credit card and QR code to run and monitor.”
“The rooms are clean and the water pressure was great. We broke down on the interstate and they gave us a ride to the auto repair shop the next morning. We were very happy with the room and the price and friendly service was great. Thank you Western inn we will see you again!”
“Clean, well-kept lodging with easy access to dining and shopping.

“Nice and spacious room. Small outdoor pool and a large green space. Convenient location and walking distance to grocery and fast food choices. Most people working there were nice, a few were rude. Didn't change sheets daily, continental breakfast was sparce and lacking. Snack and soda machine were typically high priced. Did not bring towels daily and didn't leave enough soap, shampoo or conditioner for two people daily.Rooms: Room was clean and spacious. Ours had a fridge, microwave, tv, alarm clock, phone and ac/heat, blow dryer.Nearby activities: Jaycee park, Memorial Park, Joyce Wildlife.Walkability: Walk ability to two grocery stores, Walmart, many gas stations, fast foods, 2parks, 2 Laundries, a few antique stores and several restaurants. And don't miss Rainbow Daquaries!!!Food & drinks: Waffle house, McDonalds, Burger ? ng, Wendy's, Little Caesars, Chinese, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, smoothies, Daquaries, Waffle House, HiHo BBQ, Sonic, Subway, and several other sit down restaurants are all within several blocks with most being less than 3 blocks.”
“Safety: Police department two minutes away but not close enough to get in your business
Walkability: Mall. Less than three minutes away
Food & drinks: Food for any appetite less than 5 minutes away
Movie theater less than three minutes away.”
“The only reason for the four stars is the rooms because I have a cleaning forte that yielded a bit more than I would have expected. Yet beautiful grounds, service (shout out to Mr. Brent) and upkeep.
Walkability: Dollar General is right cat a corner from it in Fine stretching your legs distance and a convenience Store is a hop skip and jump about a quarter mile down.”
