“I love this bookstore and will be very sad when it closes down. I don't know what's up with the escalators never being fixed, but I guess the ownership has other priorities.”
“I’m visiting Baton Rouge and while here I wanted to support an independent bookstore, Red Stick Reads did not disappoint. The store was fresh, clean, and well organized. They also supported local artists, displaying their journals, cards, and book marks. In addition, the staff was very friendly. So glad I stopped in.”
“Expensive but a good store. We walk thru it a few times a year. I have purchased toys and kids books for my granddaughter many times. Nobody bothers folks in there and it's always busy.”
“Thank The Lord for this store!!! I have used it since volunteering during LSU days and then teaching and now at 63 I still go here! Yes Amazon is now here but I would rather use a BR store when at all possible!!!”
“First time customer. Referred by a friend. The friendly staff helped me find a gift Angel for “remembrance” ( a close friend lost her mother).I’m well pleased with my item and was happy to find something with good quality.Extra feedback: offer returns on store credit.”
“Wonderful staff and lots of resources. Books, videos, 3d printer, computers for research, sewing machine, mini podcast setup, meeting rooms and everything is always clean and quiet.”

“This is a niche business that's only going to appeal to the legal community...however they carry what you need if you're in the market for the needed legal tomes required for the day to day practice of law.”
“This store is sort of like a modern day Spencer's without the adult products. It's filled with oddities and pop culture stuff, used video game consoles, puzzles, action figures, bobbleheads, toys, board games, books, comics, vinyl records, and so much more. This location on Perkins is the most well put together location I've been to so far, the one in Covington is very disorganized. If you're looking for a unique gift or just want to browse for a long period of time taking in all they have to offer, it's definitely worth stopping in.”
“I can see why the reviews are high. Both Mr Finley and Ms Linda treated me very well.I really love Louisiana in general, it's the hospitality that you don't get in other places. Been all over the country and you need to know how blessed and rich you are.”

“I learned of a walk on campus highlighting Scott's Bluff and what came to be the point where two red sticks were discovered next to each other leading to the naming of Baton Rouge. We were disappointed to find the museum closed but enjoyed our jaunt on campus. Security was friendly when we drove I was appreciative of the chance to visit a historical HBCU including hearing the band practice.”

“Will order my bibles for prison ministry here and they are price competive. If I need something special like a spanish bible, they have it. Have ordered custom printed holy cards for Easter and Christmas and have arrived on time and very pleased with price and reminder call they are there. Staff is always helpful and friendly, and knowledge about their merchandise.”
“I love BRCC, idk what all those bad reviews are about lol. anything I need help with I just go to my academic advisor & she'll help me out with it and if it's something she can't help with she'll do research and point me in the right direct to be helped.”
“Barnes & Noble (B&N) at LSU meets the needs of the University, and the larger Baton Rouge community. They are conveniently located right across Highland from the Student Union Building. There is a pay to park multi-level garage attached to the rear of the building if you need it. The B&N itself is large and spacious, occupying two floors. Most of the downstairs floor space is devoted to one of the most extensive collections of LSU merchandise in Baton Rouge. Clothing, home items, tailgating paraphernalia, and toys are all here in their purple and gold glory. There is literally a whole wall covered in hats! Another important downstairs area is the B&N Café, which serves Starbucks Coffee, but is not an actual Starbucks location. Upstairs, are the books. You need to have those in a bookstore of course. There is the textbook area, where students can get their required reading for classes. Then there are the other bookshelves which include a selection of stock that you would find at other B&N locations. In addition to these features, the upstairs is where you find the Apple Authorized Campus Store. This area includes, Macs, iPads, and other Apple products all available at an educational discount price to students and other qualified buyers (and at regular prices to others). This Apple enclave is like a mini-Apple Store within a store. Overall, the B&N at LSU is tailored to its community. It meets many needs, and is a great place to browse or spend time. One can enjoy both the indoor and outdoor seating areas, have lunch or a snack, and read or work. It's a good place to visit if you are in the LSU area.”
“This a great shop! The owner is very friendly and gives great reccomendations. There is a large game room with playing tables that was full of patrons, which made for a great atmosphere. There is an entire shelf of games you can try out (in-store) for free. Definitely plan to go back.”
