Charles W. Lamar Jr. YMCA is a clean, well-lit fitness facility in downtown Baron Rouge that offers a variety of equipment, including machines, free weights, and cardio options like treadmills and ellipticals. The workout circuit is designed to fit individual needs, and the gym provides a range of exercise classes. The space is kept in great condition, and staff are friendly and helpful. There are separate men's and women's locker rooms with showers.
Great gym did not like my interaction with Ms.Michelle though but will not discourage me from enjoying the facility amenities and the rest of the staff is wonderful

Ms. Yolanda is one of the best senior member services I’ve ever met!! She’s is very kind! She takes time to adhere to each member’s individual needs!! She helps create a very peaceful and productive atmosphere here at the Y!!!💯🔥

I’ve been a member of the “Y” since I was 13 years old and I enjoy coming to the Charles Lamar branch located downtown Baton Rouge. The staff members Yolanda and Charlie are very welcoming and dedicated to the people and community.
