Motel 6 Baton Rouge - Southeast offers basic, budget-friendly lodging with interstate access. Experiences vary significantly. Some guests found their rooms to be clean, comfortable, and a good value for a last-minute reservation, though noting issues like poor soundproofing or a broken sink light. The night shift staff is described as incredibly nice and helpful. However, numerous problems are frequently reported. Rooms can be in poor condition, with stained and damaged linens, unclean floors, broken fixtures, and missing amenities like coffee pots or hair dryers. The building may show disrepair, with boarded windows and a tarp on the roof. The day shift staff and housekeeping are sometimes reported as rude and unaccommodating, with instances of aggressive early checkout demands. The location is considered a sketchy part of town, with a parking lot that could use more lighting. It is not a good area for walking due to safety concerns. While the price is low, many guests advise spending a little extra for a better place.

This may be the best experience at Motel 6 we’ve had thus in our cross country. We have stayed at Motel 6 hotels from Florida through Lafayette, Louisiana at this point most of them being pretty good just being the best and two of them being absolute garbage. We’re always grateful when we find a good one.
