Such a cool and intimate venue. Can’t believe I was 15 feet away from these legends. Parking wasn’t bad,we got there an hour early. You can park behind the venue,street side,or on the LSU campus but make sure to check their free parking hours. Grab a bite next door at The Chimes!

Great place to see a concert. It has two different levels. You can see from any place in there.
In 1937, The Varsity first opened its doors. During this time until the late 1980s, we operated under a variety of different roles in the film theatre industry, and was one of the most thriving establishments in the Northgate area. In 1988, The Varsity had to shut our doors temporarily only to be reopened again back in 1990 as a live music venue. Ever since then, the music hasn’t stopped.
