“Took the tour with my family - it was entertaining, fun, and very informative. Then, we enjoyed some terrific drinks. Just a great way to spend an afternoon in Baton Rouge. Special shout out to Keith, our tour guide, and terrific drink mixer! He made our experience next level!”

“Absolutely love this area for a venue/reception. People are very nice and go out their way to make sure everything is perfect. Would highly recommend Oak Lodge. Located off of Sherwood not far off the exit.”

“Cozy little community space with a stage. Must bring your own seating or you'll be standing for the entire event. Some concerts can get crowded and lines for drinks, food, and bathroom can be long.”

“It looked really big and cool. Seemed like a cool place to have a tournament and a Corona. For the short time I was there the employees were really nice to me and very helpful.”

“Food was delectable! Atmosphere was perfect and intimate, service was fast and kind!Went here with a girlfriend, both of us are from out of town and cancelled our original plans wanting a more casual night. This was the PERFECT CHOICE. The naan is a must try and the hummus was SO rich and lovely. Great flavors for wine pairings. Absolutely recommend! Come here!”

“A must visit for historical places in the Baton Rouge area. Helped at a high end gala & they were so supportive of set up, event flow. And take down. Went back for a self guided tour, and loved the place even more. The staff is so friendly, they have a virtual guide, a little write up for each of the rooms, and a scavenger hunt. Whole place takes less than an hour, so pair it with the old state capital, and a downtown restaurant.”

“Went for late night drinks on a slower Sunday. We had the place to ourselves for the most part. The barkeep was attentive, yet allowed us our privacy to enjoy each other's conversation and company. Great service and good drinks. An enjoyable late night.”

“Beautiful theater in a wonderful area of town called ‘Perkins Rowe.’ So many things to do all in walking distance and it’s like a small town. The theaters seats are all powered reclining loungers they’re so comfortable. Easy to buy tickets on any movie app, like Fandango, add the tickets to your smart phones wallet and just scan it at the desk.”

“Could benefit from some small ramps for wheelchair access inside. But overall a good space. Went for Astrology on tap and enjoyed the speakers and large screen. Chimes had a nice selection of drinks and the food smelled wonderful.”

“I would so l easily give this place 5 Stars with one exception. In the Manship Theater there a handful of bad seats. 99% of the rest are great! With the exception of those extremely few bad seats. You can see and hear the performances from various angles and you will not be disappointed.I accept responsibility for the seat I selected, because other seats were available at the time.I chose a place in the balcony, furthest toward the end, closest to the stage. Thinking this would put me at a place where I could watch the performance from a great angle. Unfortunately. There are stage lights that block 1/2 to 2/3rds of the view from that spot. If it weren’t for the stage lights at that particular location, the view would be fantastic.Again, it was my choice. Next time, I’ll simply avoid one any those seats next time. There’s only 4 such seats in the arena. So again, all the rest are great. I’ve been to previous shows there and have been greatly satisfied with the seating. My advice to the Manship Theater is to either remove those 4 seats and just have an open space there. Or perhaps rearrange the stage lights in such a way as to not block the view to the stage from that particular location. With that said. The atmosphere, service, access to seating, staff, bartenders, cleanliness and of course the quality of the shows there are 5 Star all year long. There’s plenty of parking right next door. The facility is also conveniently located near restaurants, shops, lounges as well as the eternally scenic Mississippi River. It’s also directly across from the Watermark Hotel. And nearby other 5 star Hotels. My personal favorite is the Watermark. One of the very best hotels in the South.”

“Attended an awards ceremony here. The facility is nice & was perfect for our event. The only thing to be mindful of is the parking. The lot is across the street and is extremely small. It fills up quickly & you might have to park on the street or down the block.”

“They did a wonderful job with my daughter Sweet 16th Birthday. I gave them my vision and they completed the task. The venue is beautiful and clean. The owner has a great personality which meant so much to me. She understood the assignment.”

“Uncle Earl's has transformed itself from the loud, college crazed, packed pick up bar of the 2000s, and has grown into a mature destination for young professionals. I had not been in some time, my last few experiences were filled with drunk kids at the bar and I figured it was a place I was too old for. But recently, I went in after work to meet with some friends, and the place certainly had a glow-up. They have a decent wine selection, and the cocktails were on point. The bar is clean and I like the different levels. The lushly decorated outdoor area is comfortable and a nice way to relax and enjoy conversation. And everyone who worked there was helpful and engaging. We also attended a Galentines Day event recently, and that was a great way to expose new people and those who had been away to the location. Delicious catering items were spread throughout the space. While I likely will avoid any large scale events there, it is nice option for grabbing a drink after work or attending a special event. Of course a note about parking.... because the area is separated by a fence, it is a little dicey. You can park in the lot on the other side of the fence and walk around, or you can drive to the back behind the building. Please be aware of your surroundings if doing so as it is pretty remote back there.”

“The Crowne Plaza is an older hotel, meaning the year it was built (1973). I visited about 13 years ago for a professional conference (the same one I attended this year) and this time I felt like the rooms could have been upgraded a bit more. According to research, they were upgraded in 2019. They were not deplorable or like a motel, but I expected more - especially since I was there for a professional conference. The conference rooms were nice. Staff was okay.Rooms: Need more upgrading.Nearby activities: Everything is close by - restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, shopping, and the interstate if you want to travel a little further out.Walkability: Everything is in walking distance but keep in mind this is a high traffic area with not many sidewalks.”

“The crawfish itself was really really delicious - by far the best crawfish I had in a while - but the pricing is a tad misleading. They mix in ALOT of onions in it to inflate the weight - my 5 LBs bag had NINE ounces of onions mixed in. With current crawfish prices, that’s about $4-5 worth of onions!”

“It doesn't turn dark until 7:40 in July and August. Why is the driving range closed at 5:30? People are coming from work and want to hit golf balls, it's much cooler.”

“My wife and I recently had an amazing stay at The Indigo. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The hotel itself was beautiful and very clean, and the views overlooking the Mississippi River and location near The Manship Theatre, Tsunami, LSU MOA, etc., could not be beaten. The staff went above and beyond to exceed expectations and make our stay incredible. 10/10 will go back!”

“This was absolutely the coolest and most historically accurate “speakeasy” I’ve ever been to. There are such cool puzzles pertaining to the history of the building that you can solve for specialty shots. Harlee, the hostess of the bar, explained the whole process in great detail before we entered. Devin and Chandler were knowledgeable bartenders that suggested and made drinks that they knew we would love. My friends and I had an amazing experience and will definitely be back! The coolest place I’ve been to in BR by far!”
