“A local store where cashiers know most, if not all customers who walk in the door. Very nice and welcoming to all customers tho. Cigarette prices are pretty reasonable and often have discounts like 50% off a pk.”

“After hearing good things about the food at Akasha Market, we stopped in to get fried seafood platters for three. All I can say is, Yummy. The seafood is fresh, perfectly seasoned, lightly battered, and fried golden. The fries that come with it are some of the best in town. I want to try one of their hamburgers next.Highly recommend!!”

“Best whole chicken wings that are fried in Baton Rouge. Better seasoned than Blue’s . I have to come here every time I’m in town! They are always fried fresh!”

“Staff are stern, but only when it's necessary. The first time I visited the establishment, I instantly fell in love with the place. The prices are fair. Their fried chicken is better than chain store restaurants, cheaper too.”

I have been shopping there since 1988 and I can remember when the owners changed hands, the customer services has been great, my wife and I enjoy shopping there. Mr. Eddie”

“Chicken is always hot and delicious. The only two down falls is that their schedule has not been consistent lately. Sometimes open and other times closed a lot for some odd reason. Staff could be friendlier but over solid food.”

“Oh I bought tons of souvenirs here, and food isn't so bad. If you're really hungry then it's okay to buy food here but if you can wait and get something else better then go ahead and wait.”

“I choose to go here over ANY store. I’ve been going here for YEARS! When they know you by name and know your respect, you get respect back. And I know, NO MATTER what, they’ll always have my back.Don’t sleep on Jubilee. They know me by “Shay” and at least ONE person knows what I’m getting every single day and I stop here EVERY SINGLE DAY after work. My go-to spot! PERIOD!”

“Awesome experience. 1. The gas is definitely well-priced - one of the lower priced places in town. 2. The lot is clean. 3. The store is clean. 4. The store is stocked. 5. The explores are super friendly. If you're in the area, get your convenience on here”

“Best bodega I've been to in 2 years of living in the south. Ever since leaving New York to live in Baton Rouge, one of the few things I've missed was the convenience and undeniable "ghetto" feeling of a orner store bodega. The amount of clutter and abundance of types of products was great, really reminded me of the randomness of a NY bodega, I loved it and will return.”

“Boudin is great, it's brought in fresh daily. Typically only lasts 1-2 hours before they're sold out. Good luck after 3 PM. Family owned, family operated. I will always support small businesses like these.”

“On the surface, Save More looks like most convenience stores. Once inside, you can see they are much more. They are actually a small supermarket offering everything from fresh veggies to cell phones and gas. They offer a butcher-shop meat market with package deals and very reasonable prices. But the hot-food section is what really sets them apart. You may wait a few minutes for one of their sandwiches or hot meals but it is worth the wait. The hamburger/fries/drink for $4.00 is a real tasty meal and very satisfying (they cut and grind the meat from their own meat market!). It is one of the few handmade burgers in the city found anywhere but at a pricy sit-down restaurant. The po'boys are the best-kept secret in Baton Rouge. They offer them hot and cold and of every variety. The oyster po'boy is simply the best and for a long sandwich at under $10.00 it is a meal for two people. The State Legislature has been known to send a runner to buy sandwiches for everyone when they are in session. When you go there, mind your manners and be polite. They are nice people and a family-owned business. Everyone goes there so you never know who you might meet.”

“Usually open when you need it to be. I'd say turn the tunes down just a hair so you can interact with the person working the register. They need to bring back the boudin dog that's topped with pulled pork”

“Like any and all Exxon, this is the spot to gas up, grab some grub, and keep it moving. Gas is high, but that ok. And check out Lucky Morning Donuts. They sound good.”

“This is the 1St business I've seen with the best prices and the friendliest owners and workers. it really amazed me to see the prices are better than the grocery stores. I would recommend this to be the #1 convient store around. Not only #1 convient store but the services they offer are #1 also. They have laundry service right next door that can take care of all your laundry needs. Very friendly workers that can assist you. They also have the #1 spot for your hotel accommodations right behind the store. At AMERICA BEST VALUE INNwith the friendliest service anyone can ask for. They can assist you with your needs for your stay. I can assure you will leave with a smile because of your stay at AMERICA BEST VALUE INN. They located right on side a beautiful historical location. That is in walking distance from HOTEL, CONVENIENT STORE, & LAUNDRY MATT. THE OLD PLAQUEMINE LOCKS. At the locks you can fish with your family and other attractions., i would highly recommend these locations to anyone. They have many ammonites to accommodate your needs in all areas. I give them a 5 star rating an would defiantly return for future stays.”

“Came to Baton Rouge to visit family and wanted some crawfish so I tried they crawfish and they were pretty good. The batch I had was fresh out the pot. They were a nice size and had a good flavor. Not spicy like I'm use to in New Orleans but one of the top places with crawfish in BR that I've tasted. I'll visit here again.”
