A really great place for large gatherings! We have held an annual retreat here in the cabins, and it's a marvelous space. Comfortable amenities, right on the lake, quiet and serene.

The water conditions were horrible with Overgrowth was unbelievable but the Camping conditions were in excellent shape and easy to access and beautiful !

Beautiful views! They offer different facilities for you to choose from, such as cabins or RV spaces, which is convenient for you. The facilities are very clean.

Beautiful Park! There is day use, cabins, RV and tent sites available. Horses welcome as well. Very well kept! Water is low at this time of year so no fishing but was worth checking out.

Aside from the guy at the checkpoint entrance not knowing anything about the yearly pass for state parks, the remainder of the visit was pretty nice. A beautiful park with many scenic routes and camping a cabin options. Love there dangerous snake decision tree poster

Even though it was over 100 degrees the day we went we enjoyed a small trail hike and sitting by the beautiful lake. We are some snacks under the covered eating area near the lake and enjoyed the view of the unique trees with romantic moss dangling down. Gal at the entrance lodge was very friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this area, and already have been talking up a camping trip here during a cooler time of year. They have cabins and a screened in area by the lake to clean any fish you may catch!
