Only reason not 5 star is I thought the place very crowded with lots of cars, i don’t really know if thats a good thing or a bad thing..either way I’ll be back as needed.”

“I didn’t choose Star Auto - my 1997 Ford Ranger threw its timing belt on I-10 as I was in town visiting my daughter and son-in-law who live in New Orleans. As our insurance only pays for a tow to a nearby garage, we had it towed to Star Auto (which I knew nothing about - it was just happened to be the closest garage). I know less than nothing about vehicles - and being stuck where I was, I was in a pretty vulnerable position to be ripped off…I’m in a strange city and don’t have a ton of options. The guy at Star Auto gave me a quote, replaced my timing belt, and then actually charged me LESS than the quote! What mechanic does that??!! A great experience which restored my faith in humanity! If you want an honest mechanic, go see the guys at Star Auto!”

“One Friday afternoon, within minutes of arriving in New Orleans we were in an accident. After calling more than 20 places unwilling to even look at the car we end up at Tommie’s. Not only was he kind and capable, but we were highway worthy again within a few hours. While I hope we never need his help again, I wish I knew someone just like him where I live.”
“This guy did some work on a vehicle I had bought for my girl a while back. The transmission was no good at all vehicle stalled a lot etc. I called him he quoted a possible price, he checked the car thoroughly and we moved forward. Let’s just say he did what he did best and I never had to return to him or call him.
Right now I’m not trying to get in touch in touch with him for another vehicle I have before the trans gears failed completely but I can’t get through to his phone on Google.
