Just had our Mardi Gras Bunch with two delicious King Cakes from Cartozzo's Bakery, Original & Pralines & Cream! They were the hit of the party. Everyone thought they were the best ever! They arrived in great shape, ready to decorate with icing, colored sugar & a golden baby! I ordered from another bakery previously and they arrived in such bad shape, they are to be "reconstructed". Cartozzo's is a family business with a well earned excellent reputation. I won't go anywhere else for King Cakes!

I ordered the Cream Cheese King cake. Knowing that it was traveling from LA to GA, I was a little leery about how it would taste. It came without the icing and the sprinkles, but the packets of these items were included. I iced and decorated it and served to friends. It was DELICIOUS! Best king cake I have ever had...and I have had many. It was moist, the cream cheese filling was perfect and the icing was amazing! I will be ordering again.

I had purchased King cake at the airport in New Orleans and got sidetracked and forgot about the cake. I actually called up the bakery and the owner sent me another cake for free which is super kind. Thank you so much again.

Grabbed a king cake on our way out of NOLA at MSY to bring back to FL. After buying it, I dropped it different three times. Ugh. I was hesitant to serve it to my friends (two days after buying it,) but to my surprise it was delicious! Furthermore even after dropping it 3x (what can I say it was 5:00 am ) it still looked great. In fact, it was the best king cake I've had to date. When I need a king cake in the future I'll be ordering from Cartozzo's. Super fresh, and the packaging is solid.

We got a pineapple cream cheese, and while the pineapple cream cheese filling was good the bread was undercooked. I have pictures because after reading the comments from the owner they seem to want evidence on their lower ratings for their king cake. Also the online ordering is a bit odd , so when we called the bakery we were told to leave a message and order .

So, I jumped the gun this year and bought a king cake on 12/28 before all the normal bakeries put them out. I saw a Cartozzo's Praline Pecan flavored cake at a grocery store in Waveland, MS, and I figured for $23 we would give it a shot. This is what we had:Pros: Available before the other bakeries have them, and you can get them in MS (huge plus). The plastic wrapper was also tight around the package that you had to cut it off with scissors (good to keep it fresh).Cons:Flavor - No praline taste whatsoever. The flavor was very artificial/chemical cinnamon flavored. It really took us back when we tried it.Filling - Although it's not a "pralines & cream," I've never seen a praline flavored king cake with no praline filling. In fact, it really had minimal filling of any kind anyway. The filling seemed to have the overbearing cinnamon flavor, so I assume that's why they went light on it.Texture - The topping was dried onto the cake and cardboard and you really had to get the knife blade between them to separate them. Otherwise, you leave a lot of topping in the box.Topping: Was like a sweet sugar mix. It didn't have much flavor; it tasted like sugar and was overpowered by the cinnamon. The topping was like a hard, thin shell. Was really odd, but I wouldn't say it was terrible.Other Observations: Very dense; not overly moist, but dense in a brick kinda way like it was baked with a good amount of heavy oil.The cake was average-sized for $23, so no complaints for being too small. It's just the flavor is not very good. I would describe it as a packaged cinnamon roll, but a can from the frozen section or a trip to a cinnabon would give you a much better product. Expecting a decent king cake, this one just didn't do it.

I was recently given a mini king cake from a friend from this bakery. It was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I am very picky about king cake and almost didn’t try it. BUT I AM SURE GLAD I DID. Because it was a mini king cake it was for an individual. The size was a bit larger than a donut. It was boxed and wrapped SO NICELY and PRESENTABLE. I tried it!I would HIGHLY recommend this king cake to anyone and can’t wait to purchase another one.

The king cake was absolutely delicious! I ordered the cream cheese, and everyone loved it. Putting the icing and sprinkles on was very easy, and the golden baby was a hit. Thank you!
