“Very nice staff. Found what I was looking for.Much nicer than Washington School Mall in St Landry parish (that place is horrific) purse got stolen out the women's bathroom think it's the owner Jenni Rainwater who stole it, or her buddy with the red hair Kathy. No one go to Washington School Mall and rate them a 1 star.”
“This shop offers something for everyone. It has a variety of new and antique home decor and furniture. Max, the owner, is second to none. She has an amazing talent and eye for decorating, and she is just so down to earth. She is always willing to help you find the perfect "piece(s)" for your home or a gift for someone special. I highly recommend this shop.”

“My husband and I decided to stop in right before they closed and this was an awesome find. We found a couple of rare items and the owner’s were very friendly. The items were not over priced and had tons of original items. Would highly recommend stopping in while visiting.”
“We asked Melanie Lafleur to handle the estate sale at my mother's home of almost 50 years. She put maximum effort into the staging and preparation of the home over many days and nights. Her advertisement of the sale online and with neighborhood signs attracted a large number of people. Melanie is an extraordinarily kind and hard working person. I highly recommend her!”
“This store is a pleasant shopping experience. I can see why my wife loves to shop there. It's layout is much more appealing than big box stores. I went there because I wanted to pick up a quick little something to give her for Valentine's Day. The sales staff was nice and they surprised me when they offered to gift wrapped my purchase. It was unexpected but really made my day. Go a gift, got it wrapped and got it done in less than 30 minutes. It will definitely be my go to place for future gifts. By the way my wife loved the gift.”
“I found a beautiful Mother’s Day gift here that my mom loved. It was something I couldn’t have found anywhere else as it was a vintage piece on consignment. The atmosphere was so welcoming at Hart & Cole and there were so many beautiful items. And it smelled so wonderful too! I will definitely be back because it’s a place you want to be able to take your time & explore. Lots of treasures to be found.”
“This is the only place in town that I have found wonderful quiche. Each day they feature a different quiche and soup combo. When I go there I always try to get there a t 11:00 when the bistro opens because sometimes they run out of the quiche or soup I want.”
“I've been a resident of Lafayette for 17 years and always wanted to stop by this shop. I like old things. I see all the poor reviews but that wasn't my experience at all. The wife Brenda is a talker (she kept me longer than I would have stayed but it was ok) but she was pleasant. Her and her husband Jerry helped me figure out a lock situation on an old piece of furniture. They are Christians and were extremely friendly and polite. They have some gems in the bigger building that you can see off the highway. Lots of locks, doorknobs, metal art, sinks, crosses, etc. From what I can tell the prices were reasonable. In the other building was architectural items like doors, windows, archways, and heavy mailboxes. The scenery in the back is very calming and relaxing with ponds and plants. They had beaucoup cats. They don't bother you but I don't like cats but it is why I gave it 4 stars. But I understand why they are there they have a great deal of stuff that could use a little more organizing and I'm sure the cats keep pests away. I will go back. I did see a bunch of things that I would like.”
“Very nice collection of high quality antiques and the prices are not that unreasonable... They are a little bit on the high side because they do have a bunch of different vendors and everybody makes their own prices. I don't think they were as negotiable as I would have liked but it still worth stopping and checking in on”
“Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff that love to share knowledge to make me a better collector and it makes it a friendly place to do business as well. Very fair prices.”
“A lot of antique stores I've been to feels like you have to dig through the trash to find the gems. This store is no trash and all gems. Everything in it was gorgeous and they had a selection that could fill any kind of decor style. All of what id seen seemed reasonably priced as well. I went in intending to kill a bit of time I had but not expecting to come out with anything however I ended up spending an hour looking around and debating wether to buy multiply things and walked out with 7 decorations. I'd highly recommend.”
“What can I say about Parker Woodworks... I took my solid wood furniture, several pieces of which were over 100 years old, to George Parker after they spent days under water in the Tax Day Flood of 2016 in Houston. All of my pieces were returned in pristine condition! George Parker truly stands behind all that he does, and he believes that he is not satisfied until you, the customer, is satisfied. Do not hesitate to let George take care of your precious things!”
