These guys have no clue. I took a bicycle back wheel hub in to be rebuilt and the things is locked up. Unfortunately the other bicycle shop is always closed. Take your bike out of town and avoid these clowns by all means.

I brought my wife’s bike wheel in to have a broken spoke fixed. I could have bought cheap truing stand on Amazon and a three dollar spoke and done it myself no problem but I figured 40 bucks to my local bike shop was worth it. First they acted like they were too good to do something like that with a low-key attitude told me if it was more than three spokes they would have to do a complete rebuild. After checking, only one spoke was a problem and they said they would get to it in five days. I paid $35 upfront for the spoke and the Tru. They called me the very next day saying that it’s ready, but that they didn’t realize it was a tubeless tire and now I owe them more money. I never told them I wanted to have the tire put back on and sealed. A business that knew what they were doing would have called the customer and said “hey before I put this tire on and seal it for you, do you know it’s gonna cost you extra?” These fools didn’t. I didn’t say anything and went in thinking it was gonna be $10 and I would just eat that cost no big deal even though I could have done it myself with sealant at my house. These fools charge me an additional $27. I told them that that seemed a bit excessive and I really wish they would’ve called me and I would’ve told them I didn’t want them to do that. This little punk asked me if I wanted him to take the tire off so I could do it myself. Na bro, that’s a waste of both our times now, but I’ll take my money elsewhere from now on.

I was interested in getting a bike, but just not sure what kind of bike would be good for me. I went to Capitol Cyclery just to see what they had. It was my first time being there. I was looking around for a bit and then Zack came and helped me. I told him I just wanted a bike to ride around on, not for long distances or cycling events or whatever. I also wanted something comfortable. He was well informed and was telling me about the bikes that they had. Then, he showed me the used bikes and I thought one was really up my alley, but I was indecisive. Zack let me test drive the used bike around the parking lot to get the feel of it. We went back in to look around after and I asked more questions about the bikes that were a bit more in price than the one I test drove. After a bit, I asked if I could test drive the used bike one more time and he told me I could. I was sold then and told him I wanted to buy it. A guy in the back checked the bike one more time and put air in the tires, and then I walked out with the first bike I have had since I was a child. Capitol Cyclery has great customer service and I never felt like I was asking too many questions or being an annoying customer with my indecisiveness. I am very pleased and now I get to get out of the house and exercise. I am so excited. Thanks so much Zack and Capitol Cyclery!

I stopped for 2 reasons 1i had never been there b4 and was curious wat they had to offer and 2nd for help getting some information about a vintage bicycle I recently acquired. They have nice selection of quality bicycles at a very reasonable price range. I was especially impressed with the effort put into helping me obtain information on my vintage bicycle although we weren't able to obtain any real detailed information it from a lack trying.. overall I'd recommend that if you are in market 4 a new bicycle I recommend you go see them you go by and at least

Worse excuse ever for a “local” bike shop! As someone who works in customer service this was one of the worst experience I’ve ever had! There was a guy in the back working on a bike which I’m assuming is the repair guy cause he looked right at me and turned away quick no greeting just simply ignored me. Not very welcoming at all! After that it was like 10mins of me walking around looking and waiting to see if anyone else would even appear & finally greet me. Finally another dude walked from the back & definitely didn’t make me feel like he wanted my business. As far as trades go good luck cause every single time I’ve even mentioned a possibility of trading in a bike, they make it known that most likely they’re not going to be interested! Apparently trade-in’s are very hard due to all of their “new” stipulations but this wasn’t my first time trying to trade something in here so obviously things have only gotten worst since the last time I’ve tried this spot. My bike isn’t some off brand either! Honestly surprised they’re still open! Hopefully you’ll have better luck than me!

Last month I bought 2 new tires and inner tubes and was unable to ride until today. Turns out onr inner tube was defective so I took it in and Jennifer was going to charge me for the defective tube and install. They sold me a defective tube so I don't see why they would charge me for the tube or the install. Capitol was unwilling to make it right, worst customer service ever! Not only that but Jennifer was so ugly.

Didn't seem to interested in selling me a bike. Told me to go to Acadiana Bycicle company down road. Said they were too busy with paperwork. It was my first time visit there.

HUGE thanks to the helpful staff!!! They helped us repair our stationary bike in very short order. Friendly and knowledgeable. Had never been there before but now we will be sure to think of them first!

Totally unexperienced! Have new employees sell items, with no product knowledge! Return policy is totally biased, and will not return refunds in an appropriate manner! Do not shop here, because you will definitely get taken for a ride! And it won't be a bike! Company & employees think that they can't be held accountable for their actions!

They have nothing in stock you have to drive all the way out to Laffayette just to make an appointment for tgem to look at your bike. You end up having to order online instead of looking and finding out what size part you need. In conclusion, if you buy parts from here you need to order them so your doing the same thing as if you would order online but you have to drive to Laffayette to order and pick it up.
