We eat here all the time as a family. We love the store and also love the food. Our food is always great, and you truly cannot beat the price. The service can be a little iffy but you just can't beat the price for the servings and food taste.

Friend and I ordered two simple breakfast dishes of eggs, sausage and hash browns. Took over 52 minutes for our meal to come out. I know because I got the text from them saying our table was ready and had an idea when we ordered. Our waitress never checked in on us during that time and coffee was never once refilled.

Probably the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. Half of the dining room was left empty, and not in a COVID precaution way, but literally split down the middle with half the dining room completely empty and the other half packed like sardines. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated, then once we were seated it took 15 minutes just to get our drinks, then another hour to get the actual food. Multiple tables that had been seated after us got their food before we did, and we didn't order anything custom or time consuming, just eggs and bacon dishes. The manager finally came out to apologize for the wait blaming it on two new cooks she had in the back, but this seemed like a management issue with none of the staff having any idea what they should be doing.

So this place is pretty good if your are dining in. I don't recommend ordering to go. My corn muffin was like a brick and order was wrong. The food wasn't good either. Dining in is much better, that way if something is wrong they can fix it.

It's okay. Probably par for the course as far as Cracker Barrels go. The food is a little bland for my personal tastes, and it is a little bit on the pricy side if you try to dine on a budget. Expect to pay around 15 dollars per person. The service is good though. The staff is friendly, considerate and lively. The atmosphere is rustic and old-timey, with a gift shop fit to the theme. I can't complain about my meal or time there, but likewise, I wouldn't write home about it... But with a restaurant like this, your experience mostly stems from the company you keep anyway. Bring some friends, catch up and enjoy the selection of food options they have, and don't hesitate to ask the waiter or waitress for some Tony's.

Pancakes were delicious. But, waitress was too, busy to get our complete stuff needed for our table. They need to hire, more people..

The absolute worse experience ever at Cracker Barrel restaurant in Lafayette. It took us a good ten minutes to be seated, the waitresses were huddled inside the kitchen area peering at the tables but not serving anyone. Finally they began to serve people but our waitress was so confused about the menu . We were the last table served, and the grits were so cold, the eggs were raw and cool, ( not kidding) . I spoke to the woman who appeared to be the manager and she curtly told me that that was how they were supposed to be. We did not eat the RAW eggs! Will not return and so sad that this establishment has gone under.

After waiting over an hour on the waiting list we were finally seated. Drink order was taken almost 20 min later. Food took forever to get to us. Food was overcooked. We weren't given things we ordered. One person in our group got something he didn't order but chose to take so he could finally eat. All of that together was a lot but we were all okay with it. The kicker was we weren't given refills. I had one drink, finished with the beginning biscuits. We asked several times for drinks. When they were finally refilled we were done eating and 2 drinks were missing anyway. Then we waited forever on the check. All in all we were at Cracker Barrel for 3 hours and left thirsty and unsatisfied. The manager did take a meal each off of the 2 checks we had which was decent of them. This was supposed to be our first real meal since hurricane Ida hit and we returned to no power in our parish. We drove 2 hours to get here and have a nice meal and what we got was a waste of 5 hours and money. We will never eat at this location again.

Over 30 minute wait and lots of empty tables. On a Sunday seems would've been staffed better. Well we tried but too long of a wait. Must be tough getting staff.

Dinner was subpar. We had to ask for gravy after we were served our chicken fried chicken and a refill of water never came. Their glazed chicken tenders were tasty, however they were extremely tough and chewy. Kids meals clearly state milk is included as a beverage yet we were charged for two. After pointing it out to our server, she got the manager who realized the mistake and told our server to remove the charge. She came back with only one removed; several minutes later she made the second adjustment. If you're in a hurry I would stay clear of this restaurant.

Food was cold or barely warm. Ordered dumplings and they were one big stuck together blob. Carrots were overcooked and mushy. Biscuit was very small and hard. Table across from me wasn't bused the whole time I was there.. there were only 5 tables with guest while I was there so they weren't swamped. Completely disappointing.

Zero stars if I could. Horrible service and attitude from hosts and servers. Server said there's only one cook in the kitchen to serve an entire Cracker Barrel?? That doesn't add up. Gave us an attitude because we asked for the missing food from all three of our breakfasts'. Don't waste your time. There's plenty of other better Cracker Barrel's. And we weren't the only ones complaint we could hear it from other tables around us too.

The chicken fried turkey was excellent. The squash casserole was delicious as well. The chicken pot pie tasty but I felt it needed more chicken. The waitress and the cashier were super nice and friendly. I would have given 5 stars but the bathroom was out of toilet paper and it all needed to be cleaned.
