I bought a 2013 Cadillac as is but it was supposed to be safe. The paperwork said that it needed calipers which they changed. On the paperwork all it said was it needed after was a front end alignment. They were supposed to check this car and make sure it was safe. It also stated that it needed tires. The day I bought it, I bought 4 new tires. I brought it in to get the front end alignment, well the bracket that holds the transmission is split down the middle and the transmission could fall off. Also I would need 2 CV joints, their is a lot of play in both of them. Also I had to spend $1,575.00 to fix both lower control arms. On top of that I had to buy and have fixed the 2 suspension stabilizer bar kits and have them replaced. I could not have the CV joints replaced because I didn't have the money for them. They told me that they inspected this car to make sure it was safe. As you can see the car was not safe. Hampton Toyota did not inform me of all of this damage. In the paperwork all it said after the tires all the car needed was a front end alignment. Obviously it needed a lot more repairs to be safe. Between the tires and the down payment for the repairs I could only afford the tires, it cost me $2,075.00. Jaime, a manager there said for me to bring the car back and they would refund me the approximate $6,000.00 I paid for the car- the extra $2,000.00 I paid for the tires and repairs I paid on the car. I asked them being I bought 4 new tires and put a down payment on repairs for the cost of these items to refund me only $1,000.00 and I would keep the car and pay for the rest of the repairs.Jaime the manager refused. I would have paid for all other repairs myself. I have proof of all of this. The original salesman I spoke to told me the car was safe and it was not. I would not recommend anyone buying a used car from Hampton Toyota, this is from my experience buying a used car from them and would never buy a car from them ever again. Donny told me that they couldn't sell a car that was not safe to test drive the car because the calipers needed to be changed first. They didn't tell me about all of the unsafe damages to the car. All I asked for was $1,000.00 to help with the repairs and as I said the manager Jaime refused. I wanted to keep the car and would have assumed all responsibility. It will after all repairs and will cost me an additional $1,700.00 for the rest of the repairs. I realize the car was sold as is but they should have inspected the entire car and informed me that the car had all these damages. Make sure you have any used car you buy from Hampton Toyota Thoroughly inspected or you could get ripped off like I did. I am 68 years old and my wife got killed 7 weeks ago. I feel like they took advantage of me. I am considering speaking to legal counsel about this.

Brought my truck in that I just purchased into service to have a transmission flush and coolant flush done on the truck and have it re-detailed due to a poor job done when purchasing the truck, I dropped the truck off at 8:30am and truck was just finished at 5:00pm. When asking about if my truck was being serviced or finished at 12:30 the service department stated that they had not started on the vehicle. After finally receiving the vehicle the detailing job done on the interior was poor and a mess. In the rear folding cup holder from when the truck was purchased, trash was still there. Highly don’t recommend going especially if you need your vehicle to be detailed or serviced and have things to do. Also when the truck was sold to me there was no lock key to the lug locks and the original sales associate that talked with me pulled out the contract and stated that the vehicle was sold as is other than the requested repairs in the deal and refused to get a new key for the tires to be removed incase of a flat. The upside to this was that Harry who ended up being the sales associate to do the final deal for my truck was super helpful and attempted to do the best he could to help with the bad service to the best of his ability.

Mr. Dallas was very patient in helping me find the right vehicle. He was also very courteous in his conduct and not a high pressure salesman.

I recently purchased a Toyota Tacoma from Hampton Toyota and had an excellent experience from start to finish. My salesman, Dallas Freeman was knowledgeable, patient, and never pushy. Told him what I was looking for and he took care of it. Found it at another location and he made things happen to where it was delivered the next day. Once delivered he notified me it was there. Upon my arrival he took the time to answer all my questions about the truck. He went over all buttons and what they were for and how to work them.
I can’t say enough about Dallas. He was friendly, professional and he made me feel like a valued customer. I highly recommend Dallas as your salesperson to anyone looking for a new Toyota — I couldn't be happier with my new Tacoma!

My experience at Hampton Toyota was awesome. Dallas Freeman, my sales associate took time to explain and answer all of my questions about the vehicle that I purchased. He worked within my price range and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the purchase. I love my vehicle and thanks to Dallas Freeman, I received an excellent offer. Thank you Dallas!

Roger was great. Traded in a Kia Sorento for a Tacoma SR5. The whole transaction was seamless. It was a mistake leaving Toyota, they make the best cars.

I've been with Hampton for about 14 years. I'm leaving them because they promised free tire rotation if I purchased 4 new tires and they just told me they will start charging me for rotations. I believe if you make a deal - you stick to it.

Josh was a great person to work with. He and Jess made the sale completion easy, very timely and without all the hassle of buying a new car. I want to thank both of them.

I attempted to purchase a 2023 Toyota Tacoma & literally everything about the process is the reason car “vending machines” are becoming a popular choice by people looking to buy an automobile. I informed the sales representative & finance person that was assigned to “complete” the sale that I had no drivers license & they assured me that it would not be an issue. So, I buy the vehicle & drove off & all is well (so I assumed of course) as the contract was complete & automobile was in my possession. Sales team calls me a few days later saying that I needed to get back to the dealership with a DL or have someone co-sign that has a DL “all while being very unprofessional”🙄. I spoke with the finance company & the woman assigned my case/contract said she would need to speak with her boss about the no DL but would do so on Monday “this was a Friday”. I go about my business & the following Friday I get another call from the dealership concerning the DL; the finance department has been trying to reach you & you have been avoiding them, (LIES🤮) you NEED to bring the vehicle bk immediately with a DL or get co-signed, etc. I told him I spoke with finance co & what was discussed & that he & the dealership should do their job & do so truthfully moving forward bc they’d already been unfaithful in their dealings previously & I was not going to be walked on due to their ignorance, dishonesty, & greedy sales tactics. At no point was their negligence acknowledged while on the phone with this sales guy. The call ended with, “or else we’ll take legal action” click! I spoke with finance co & she told me the contract had not been kicked bk & they would hold contract til the 10th this was the 22nd (finance co was very professional). A few days later I was all of a sudden bombarded with calls & emails; I picked up & explained the situation & also that I was offshore working & would be til 8th. I told her the finance co gave me til the 10th & I would have the situation handled 1 way or another at that point. This woman with dealer finance team was at least “somewhat” professional & acknowledged their wrong n the matter. I said I would return automobile & get a full refund of the down payment & needed 100% assurance before making the flight & drive. I returned the automobile & was given the full amount & then gave up the key (they must’ve had 4 different people from various departments attempt to get the key before handing over the check (which was mobile deposited) prior to handing the key over. The overall satisfaction of my experience with both the sales department & finance department at Hampton Toyota in Lafayette, La. was awful. The whole process was a great disappointment & the lack of integrity on behalf of the staff was something that may actually have an effect on all future dealings in regards to signing contracts, I.e., much like the contract many signed when getting the drivers license to begin with 😁REVOCATION OF ELECTION…STATE NATIONALS ROCK🤙
