If I could rate this store with a zero I would. I’ve lived all over the country. Joann Fabric is my happy place where I feel at home no matter what state I’m living in. The Lafayette Louisiana location is disgusting. It’s a complete mess..let alone the fabrics look as outdated and disheveled. I will not be returning. Management should be fired.

Finally quit my job here. All my managers were amazing but Mrs Alisa. She's nice when she wanted to be but other times she embarrassed me and was really mean to me. Like I'm sorry I'm LEFT handed and use the numbers on top the keyboard and not the numbers to the RIGHT side. And yes I know how to use a calculator I'm just left handed. Also sorry your radio wasn't working and the line was long and the register wouldn't open so you had to come help, also I'm sorry I offered to put stuff up but you said no because I'm register and got mad I didn't put stuff up when I asked to clock out. To the other managers, y'all were really nice especially Erin you were the kindest to me. Also they take me off the schedule for next week and not care to inform me, tried giving me one day to work this week. I couldn't do it anymore. It was hard knowing the customers has hard times and I couldn't do anything to help. Seeing those bad reviews made me sad because I'm sorry they had a bad experience, I know I tried my best to make sure customers had a good experience. Lots of days it was hard to just put on a smile when I wasn't happy with how it was, thank you to the amazing customers and the sweet coworkers who made it better for me! Also if they tell you to call the store, most of the time they don't answer.

This store is a mess. It went from an orderly place where you could find a great selection of just about everything from fabrics to paper crafts. It has gone from being a place where you could be assured of finding whatever you needed to boxes in the aisles, scrambled shelves of mixed items to out of stock shelves and other merchandise. There are no prices listed on items and misplaced items in every single aisle. Apparently, the management here doesn’t know how to run a store. C’mon Joann, you need to do better.
Oh, and if you need to use the bathroom, better make sure you are stocked with your own Kleenex or other tissue because NONE of the stalls have toilet paper and the whole place is filthy.

Lafayette LA is the WORST Joann store I ever been in. The manager was so rude! I have an Etsy shop and spend a lot of money here. I will NEVER go back to this store! It's also filthy.

Sent my friend to pick up my order at 12:30pm after I put it in at 9:30am. They said they didn't have an order under mine, or his name, even though I put it under both. He left to get receipts from me. At 4pm he returned and they said the receipts don't help them, the oder confirmation number doesn't matter and that they needed to know I got an email that said it was ready. He came back to me at work and I told him I did get that email hours before. So he drove BACK for the third time, and they FINALLY walked to the back and found the order.

They are snails in that building….for almost two weeks they’ve been boxes in the isles just sitting there..why are we having to go through boxes ourselves just to find something! Not to mention you order for pick up and are waiting HOURS for two simple things to be ready! You can’t even get anyone on the dang phone! I’ve sat there for 3+ minutes just waiting for someone to pick up. I’ve called 4 times in an hour and still can’t get ahold of no one! This store needs a whole new manager! There’s stuff always in the way. Everything is a mess! How do you expect people to shop and look for things when they’re big boxes in the dang way!
Edit to add…I finally after almost 3 hours got a text my order was ready..I walk into that store there is one cashier with a line of 17 people…i waited for almost 20 minutes before someone else came up there and asked if anyone had an order to pick up so I went up there and they have already lost my order…she had to go digging for it in the back…what kind of store is this manager running..!! The store was still a mess when I went in! After ready more reviews it’s like they never do anything.

The store is a MESS. It’s absolutely disgusting to even walk into the store. The employees are so slow and have ZERO knowledge about anything crafting related. They do not greet you at all. There’s a line going to the back of the store with only one cashier. Boxes are all over the place and you can’t walk around because of them. Alicia, I think is who you spell her name, she may be a manager? But she was absolutely rude and horrible to me when I went in to ask about buttons. From the moment I said excuse me she had an attitude. She firmly stated to me that “everyone needs things immediately but I don’t have to do it.”

The store is a mess, fabric on the floor at the end of aisles. Or haphazardly thrown on top of other sections of fabric. Boxes are in the middle of the aisles blocking the way. Completely unorganized. Employees have bad attitudes. Just an unpleasant place to go shopping since new management took over.

My visit to Joann last Sunday is probably my last. The store looks like a bomb exploded; boxes spilling out into the aisles, fabric visibly walked on and dirty on the floors and the store is filthy! I felt sorry for the 2 employees that had to represent the mess and chaos! Customers were looking at each other in disbelief!

The cashiers have zero sense of urgency with checking out. They will take their time and be completely absent minded to the fact that a long line is forming. It should not take 30 minutes to check out when each person has only a few items and the store is other wise empty.

Ashlee I think that’s how you spell her name. She was cutting fabrics and was being super nasty to me and another customer. I walked up because I didn’t see another customer with her. And, the other customer appeared behind me. I politely moved to the side She stated Ashlee could go ahead and help me because she was waiting. while she retorted with “she can wait” and rolled her eyes. She continued giving us both a nasty attitude. The customer apologized clearly completely shocked. When the customer walked away, she turned to me yanking the fabric and cut the amount I asked for then asked did you need anything else I was absolutely appalled and shook my head. This place has always been my favorite because the employees were always the kindest. I’m disgusted with the behavior of that employee 🙁

Ashlie was extremely rude to the woman in front of me in line. Instead of helping her find the price on an item without a tag she told her she just can’t buy it but with the most attitude I’ve ever seen from a cashier, someone behind me in line was kind enough to go and find another one with a price tag which ashlie could have either done herself or called for a price check. Extremely rude and Joann doesn’t deserve to be represented like that.
