This was a great way to kick off the holiday season. Sausage and chicken gumbo was fantastic - included in the price of admission. A lot of great photo ops which was fun. Grandkids enjoyed the rides.

Super cool experience.! Definitely could be fun for a couple or the family. The coolest part of the place is the history behind it and the phone guide that gives you pretty much all the info you want to know about the buildings on site. Not only do they have houses of the time period but artifacts for that time as well. My favorite building was definitely the church. It is a replica, but it's gives you an insight into what it looked and felt like back then. Very cool experience. I will definitely bring the faimly back.

Even better than Vermilion village. Many more artefacts and the surrounding is superb.

Very fun day visiting here. Nice location. Nice set up. Well manicured grounds. The ponds are in need of some cleaning. The displays are nice, but need to be cleaned and revived. It appears they have been there for a long time and not really any upkeep. The person working the counter, while all questions were answered, was not rude, but not friendly at all. Not inviting or welcoming. No personality.

Very beautiful venue to host a party or wedding etc. Have been there a few times, for the Christmas light. Would recommend that location to anyone.

I would definitely go again and recommend. It was small and needs some cleaning though. Some of the displays need work. They do weddings here also and there is some trash left over. Fun watching the turtles even though the ponds are covered with green vegetation.

Great place to see Christmas lights! Supporting a great cause. Only complaint would be that you only get about 1-2 minutes to ride the rides. Other that we love this place!

We really enjoyed our visit to the village! As a photographer, I found an abundance of opportunities for artful expression! The story of the Acadian people is both heart wrenching and inspiring!

Very friendly staff greeted us and offered to stay a bit longer to ensure we had a chance to see everything as it was close to closing time. Seeing Acadian history in Louisiana as Acadian Canadians was meaningful.

A cute half-day trip for families. They charge a few bucks per person for entry but it goes to a good cause. Each house is set up with artifacts (clothes, furniture, tools) and gives a really good idea of how life was lived back then.My toddler got a kick out of the pond full of turtles but overall it's not exactly a destination for such little kids. The gift shop had some memorable souvenirs too.

What a magical place! Our dear friend was recently married here, and we were so pleasantly surprised by the location. The Acadian settlers created a settlement in the 1800s that is alive and well today. If you have ever been to Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World, this is clearly what it was based on. It’s a beautiful homage to a rich history and culture. I would highly recommend it.

Nice, quiet place to walk through and learn a little history of Louisiana. The Chapel is beautiful and the grounds are well kept.
