V-Zay Express is a hidden gem in the heart of authentic Creole culture, known for its delicious plate lunches. The food is consistently fire, well-seasoned, and delicious with perfect flavor. The menu offers a wide variety, including turkey in gravy, barbecue pork ribs, chicken, rice dressing, beef stew, crawfish etouffee, fried catfish, burgers, and seafood. Portions are a good sized helping and awesome for the price, much lower than many other plate lunch places. The atmosphere is fun, complete with music out front. The workers are super friendly and helpful. Parking can get pretty packed and tight during the busy lunch hour, but it is never a big issue and is worth it for the good food. This spot is definitely worth returning to regularly.
