I stopped by this gas station to fill up gas in my car (which takes 89 octane). I get here and realize that their 89 octane is $3.78, which is over a dollar more than their 87 octane ($2.69). I went over to the counter inside the Smokehouse store to ask and see if the prices were correct, because 89 octane is typically 40¢ extra (at least that’s what I’ve realized in the Acadiana area). They told me that the prices are correct because 87 is regular while 89 is Shell “Plus,” which doesn’t make sense at all because 89 octane gas is never more than a dollar higher than 87 octane gas, even in California where gas prices are ridiculously high. What confused me even more is that their “V-Power Nitro+” 93 octane gas is only 11¢ more than their “Plus” 89 octane. I don’t know how you go from regular at $2.69 to midgrade at $3.78 ($1.09 more) to premium at $3.89 (11¢ more). I didn’t fill up here because of this.
I’m not trying to be stingy here, but I wasn’t paying $15 more than I should be on WAY overpriced 89 octane gas. This gas station is really good/clean and in a great location on highway 167 too, but today I didn’t like it because of this. Otherwise, I’d have left a 1-star. Do better and stop overcharging!

Customer service is always great. Seriously, ask and they will order if available.
If you don't see something you are looking for, speak to the guys behind the counter...they will order and sell whatever possible that your taste buds desire.
They are the only gas station on Johnston between W. Broussard/Duhon and the town of Maurice. So, get ya icee, frozen drinks, fountain drink, hot or cold coffee or dippin dots. Air, water, firewood, phone chargers also available.

Super nice staff and good food. I stop anytime I'm passing by. They have really good smoked barbecue, but I'd love to get the pizzas.Earlier when I got back to my car I busted my can of soda on accident. I went back in to get a cup and the cashier told me to get another drink. I had to ask like three times if he was sure, because nobody around here is that nice to give you another one for free whenever I told him it was my fault.Super nice people. There's another cashier that greets everybody personally when they come in as if he's known them for years. We need more people like this in our Cajun country

This is where my dad and I go sometimes when we both want a snack, I always find my favorite snack here, and it also saves a lot of time since It's nearest to my house.
