630 E School St, Lake CharlesIt has taken me a little bit longer to write this overdue review because I was grieving the loss of my Ginger. Lake Area Animal Hospital was a blessing to me as to why my cat was so sick. I had taken her to a few other vet clinics with no actual answers but added medications. I just wanted answers to what was wrong with her. Even though the drive was over an hour from my home I didn't mind. From the moment I called to get Ginger in, until I left with my heart broken I had the best experience here. My heart broken because the news of my cat not being able to survive was devastating. But finally, I received answers. A few days later I received a card from this hospital with uplifting words from everyone. I cried and so full of emotions but thought this was such a caring thing to do. Thank you so much Dr. Hicks and everyone! Your hospital is where I want to continue to bring my little furbabies! Blessings to you all for what you do for families!

The building might confuse you when you pull up since the entrance is on the other side of the parking lot. However, think of it as an indicator of how good the food is that the odd layout doesn’t dissuade people from coming back.
The food is worth it.
I usually judge a restaurant by the quality of their side dishes. The level of care Area 337 put into what seems like an afterthought for most restaurants is telling.
I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.
