“I had a very smooth and easy furniture buying experience thanks to Philip W., sales associate. I hate shopping, and this time found it productive, stress free, and even fun! Philip was patient, listened to what I wanted, and showed me every sofa that was a possibility. And humorously, some that weren’t! All with no pressure. After 3 months of looking, I did buy a sofa & love seat. Also got great advice, interesting stories, and some good laughs! Every delivery detail was explained, all questions answered.

“I walked in this store about three weeks ago approximately 30 minutes to 40 minutes before they were closing. I needed a sofa for my den and my son said he wanted to look here first. I’m glad I listened because not only were they very professional and didn’t get upset because we arrived so close to closing. We found the perfect sofa that we wanted it. The gentleman kindly let us shop around and take our time without any rush or feeling that we had to make a decision because they were closing. We got to look around and sit on different sofas to try them out without feeling that we were being pressured into anything. Also, any questions that we had in which I did have a few were quickly answered, and the ones that he didn’t know right then and there he went to go do some research. We told him that we wanted the sofa that we chose, and we were given a great deal on it. The transaction was fast and simple, and we got our sofa the next day. We did a pick up and my son said that the gentlemen who helped load it in the truck were very professional and easy with the brand new sofa. It was brand new and well wrapped and was not a floor display. This made me happy because the last furniture store that I went to about three years ago, sold the display without telling my daughter and because she was alone. This furniture store will have my business soon again with a dining set because they earned my trust and their professionalism is outstanding.”

“Love our new electric lantern! It replaced the cheap builders grade light that came with our house on our new deck. Great craftsmanship and communication from sales. Yes it’s not cheap. Yes there is a waiting period. All of it is worth the great hand built result. They said it would take 8 weeks from when I ordered it and it showed up right on time. Will definitely get more to replace our other lights outside in the future.”

“Cute things..bought a t-shirt in a large and I am a size 4-6..I washed it before I wore it and it shrunk so much that the sleeves are even too short for me now.not a good quality t-shirt. I bought the shirt too big on purpose..so buy two sizes too large to get what you may want after washing it…I should have bought a 2XL..and I am not a large
person..just FYI..I also bought a super cute pair off sunglasses for 9.99..the T-shirt was 30.00..just beware they are not good quality..kind of like the quality
of a concert t-shirt..buy A LOT LARGER than you need..if you don’t like a super short sleeves..be prepared to wear a long sleeve shirt under it.”
“We needed some moulding for our “this old house” ?. We checked around for good prices and a convenient location.
We went to Moulding & Millwork Supply in Elmwood. Seeing it in person we were amazed at what a great assortment of moulding they have: different types of wood, sizes and designs of moulding. Samples are well displayed which makes shopping super easy.
It is a huge warehouse so they have a lot of materials there, from the simplest designs to the most fancy stuff. They have way, way more variety than you can find at the big box hardware stores.
The folks there are great at customer service too. Brian helped us and he was friendly, helpful and professional.
I would highly recommend going to Moulding & Millwork Supply company for moulding, and millwork. The sign says they also do doors and windows, but we were not shopping for those. Probably great for that too.
We highly recommend this business.”

“The employees are professional and patient. I have been a royal pain in the neck over my renovation and trying to pick the perfect shades sometimes means multiple trips to Helm a week. Most recently, they have been helping me find the perfect not too yellow, not too blue, bold but not ostentatious, emerald green and not once have the employees rolled their eyes or made me feel unwelcome to try yet another shade. (And after I finally listened to the pros, I have found the perfect shade called Rainforest Foliage) They are knowledgeable and helpful and I cannot recommend them enough for high quality paint and service with a smile!”

“The best collection of true collectibles I have visited in New Orleans. This is not a low budget thrift store- You are not going to find items under $10. However, it is quality, vintage, and mid-century modern collectibles at an affordable price. They do run 1/2 price tag specials as well. I highly recommend checking them out.”
“I am not a crafter at all, went in and selected material I wanted to have some chairs covered. I brought my fabric to the lady gave her the measurements and she asked how many chairs I was covering. She cut the fabric, gave me my slip, I paid and went about my business Brought the materials and the chairs to be upholstered to my person and the cut was on the $$$. That lady knew her stuff and I didn't have to make a second run”

He was extremely easy to deal with, very knowledgeable, and gave honest advice about which fabric would best fit my needs instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive option. “Man, what a great store. We have a new place and looking for a rug - we couldn’t find anything we wanted so a friend recommended Banana Manor. Billy and the staff there were super friendly and very knowledgeable about their rugs. I didn’t get the dog’s name but he/she is cool too. Great selection with a fun and casual no pressure vibe. You can sip on a beverage while they flip rugs for you to look at. Prices great especially compared to other places we looked. Picked out a perfect rug (i’m sitting on it now) and we are super happy with it. Two thumbs up (only cause I only have two thumbs). Will be back soon.”
“I went to the Sleep Number Store in Metairie, Louisiana. I was nicely greeted by Ryan. I wanted to buy a replacement remote for my California Split King. He gave me all of the information that I would need. I was very impressed by Ryan’s extensive knowledge of all of the parts of the Sleep Number beds. My bed still works, but it is almost 20 years old. He showed me how I could have a new mattress portion of the bed. He gave me a discount and set up a delivery for me. Ryan is an asset to the staff!”
