“This is a locally owned family business which has served west bankers for years. They have pretty much everything you need in order to grow roses, lots of other flowers, vegetables and herbs. Oh, and don't forget, trees suitable for transplanting into your yard. My favorite item: a fine selection of roses every spring, including many classic and new hybrid teas. They also have bedding plants (vegetables, flowers, herbs), seeds, and all the miscellaneous garden stuff - everything from manure to assorted organic and not so organic fungicides and bug sprays. Plus, the owner and many staff members are knowledgeable about local gardening and can give hints.”

“Sometimes I walk there and take a car back or visa-versa. Today I took a car there & back. I spent $60 and it was worth it. 4 plants, big bag of charcoal for my terrariums, other stuff. I love Mister Mike and everyone who works there. Cannot say enough good stuff, the great plants they have and all those nice people who work there. I had first discovered the Rose Garden and Pet on Lapalco and somehow figured out there's one even closer to me in Harvey--this one. I also love the Lapalco one. I try to go at least every 3/4/5 weeks, something like that, and I ALWAYS BUY GREAT STUFF!!”

This man knows a lot about everything, the kind of guy that the store needs more of.The African American young man in the paint section looks clueless when you ask him a question and there's a guy there named Jordan, he is the man to go to if you need something done.”
