“If you're looking for great poboys look no further. Roast beef was amazing. Just the right amount of gravy and mayo to make it just right. My son had shrimp poboy and loved it. My husband had the cheeseburger and gave high reviews.”
“It is a lot of fun to come in and check out fresh produce and a lot of products and cuisine from around the world. Great place to stock up of tea as well.
There is plenty of parking, and there are bathrooms. Short distance from I-10, Clearview or Causeway.”
“Plenty of parking the baskets are picked up regularly from the parking lot I easily found the prepared sandwiches that I was looking for for myself and those I was working with along with the particular type of chips that they had asked for. The staff inside was very helpful and friendly and quickly help me to check out and leave the store. I wish it was close to my house as I would use that as my grocery store exclusively!”
“This store is what you need when it comes to a neighborhood store. It's small and personal. The staff is friendly and don't mind helping. My first time coming to this store. I came in with my client they had everything she needed. I will definitely be back.”

“I bought a baguette with turkey, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. It was very tasty. I think it would have been even better warm. There is also hot food and a smaller selection of groceries. They even have a toilet for customers.”

“Ms. Tasha knows what she doing with my hamburger poboy dressed. Her new side kick Ms. Wendy that good old fashioned women in the kitchen take care of you when you walk up to the counter kind of woman.”
“The store is clean and well stocked. You can buy a money order and pay bills. They have a decent wine selection and lots of booze.
It's a great neighborhood store!”
“Denim was my cashier the other day at Rouse’s and he went above and beyond his duties in my book. He really made me feel like I was in a small town grocery. I felt like I was the only one in the store that mattered and our families went back a couple generations and it was my first time meeting him. It was me and my mother; and he saw I was having “a time”. I only wish my own grandson (who’s only 3 at the moment) will treat the public/ women so kindly and with such respect. Denim not only took my groceries out of the basket, rung them up, bagged them, put them back in the basket, my package of meat was punctured and he took it to the meat department and had it rewrapped. Denim said assured me not to worry myself about anyone or anything and he will be right back. Kudos to this kid’s parents for a job well done because they just don’t make them like that anymore. Rouses you should definitely have Denim give a class on treating the elderly and disabled.
Signed a Very Thankful Customer”

“Great selection of snacks, treats, and drinks! Produce selection is good too, but a little smaller than a typical grocery store. They have products from all over the world, not just the Middle East. The staff are friendly and helpful. They always answer my questions and help me find what I’m looking for. The spice mix section and dried goods are great, too.”
“Prices are reasonable with the best prepared food in SE Louisiana! I drove 30 miles just to get there. Groceries, vegtables, fruit, turkey wings, quality meats and fresh bakery items. This is the best Louisiana grocery store. Great service with good prices.”
“Canseco's is the BEST!Being from New Orleans, which I guess is becoming rarer, nowadays, having a grocery store in the neighborhood has always been a staple of the native New Orleanian experience. As Ferrara's is no more, and Zuppardo's has moved on to greener pastures, Canseco's is a godsend to our little slice if Gentilly!”
“They stocked up the shelves, they're getting completely new inventory. Looks great!
Must see! You've got to try the lasagna in the Deli.. don't forget to go upstairs and check out the Mardi Gras throws and costumes!! Awesome place!!
Everything you need for Mardi Gras and more!”
“It was good I found everything I need the cashier in the liquor department was very very nice and helpful I love Rouses National one on Belle Chasse that's close to my house and I always find everything I need thank you,”
“It's tiny, it closes early (6pm), but it's one of the most New Orleans places ive ever been too. The deli is good AF and highly recommend if you want the ACTUAL new Orleans experience.”
“I love the Walmart Market. I can always walk in and normally get out pretty quick. It takes longer when the line is long since it's only self checkout now. If you're in a rush try to avoid busier times.”
“I spent $130 here and I got what would've costed at least $200 somewhere else. Great food here. Everything just TASTES better. Super clean, very quiet. All in all, a great shopping experience. Just make sure you bring bags! They have good cardboard bags but you have to play like $0.20 a piece or something like that. Still, I only needed like 5 and they fit mosts of what I had. Bring a quarter for the shopping carts, but it's okay cuz you get it back after you return it.”
