“I personally love banking with pelican. I was introduced to pelican in 2017 here in Shreveport Louisiana. I no longer have a local branch and until today I realized how inconvenient that could be. I will continue to bank with them but it would be nice to have a branch where I can go in and handle business. I understand it was my choice to continue to bank with pelican after the local branch shut down but when you enjoy working and being a customer with pelican you can understand why I stayed. The only inconvenience I have run into is that I need to sign some very important documents to and I have to drive two hours from my home to the nearest branch. I feel there should be some kind of way I should be able to to visit a shared branch to sign documents. I am truly sorry to say within the next few months I will have to depart because of the inconvenience of the branch locations. I will truly appreciate all the help pelican has helped me with but I need a local branch.”

“Take this with a grain of salt- everyone’s experience is different. I opened my first checking account with LaCap in 2013 because some people at ULM recommended it. Credit unions are supposed to be good for low interest loans and low mortgage closing costs etc. When it came time to purchase a car and later on a house, LaCap did not pull through for me. I had 750 credit score. Now that I’ve got a big girl job with big girl money traveling outside of Louisiana, I’m limited to $2,500 external transfers per month and the only banks are in Louisiana. I recommend using this as a secondary bank. Hope this helps!”

“Went in at about 10AM, no appointment. Was greeted as soon as I walked in by a teller. She asked if I needed help and I told her I needed to open a business account. She had a lady in the office come greet me and she took me to the Branch Manager's Office. I sat down and we started the process. It took almost 45 minutes but that was due to all the paper work entailed. I had all the documents needed with me so there were no delays. The Manager and her assistant were courteous and took care of everything. They even printed me some temporary checks, ordered a debit card, wrote down their contact information and sent me on my way.”
