“Comfort Suites honestly surprised me in the best way. It may not be a big mainstream hotel, but the suites are cozy, stylish, and feel just like home. I loved the little bedside reading lights — such a thoughtful touch for people who enjoy reading or journaling. Affordable, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely a 10/10 stay for me.”

“Latest Review: An Update to my prior review below: I recently stayed at the Chateau St Denis again. The staff and desk personnel are still very personable and helpful and the room experience was night and day different! I don't know if they heeded my earlier review, or whether it was luck of the draw on the room. My room this go around was a junior suite and it was very spacious, well appointed, clean, and not a ragged edge anywhere. I give it very high marks this trip. See the two new photos below.

Prior Review: I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times over the years visiting family, so I’ve watched it age. The Pro Side is it is a neat old historic structure with good bones and a great location one block off main street, so a quick walk to the river, restaurants and shopping. The front desk staff is always personable and attentive and the structure features big rooms, tall ceilings and a great patio.
The Con Side is Wyndham Hotels / Chateu St. Denis has failed to make the necessary capital investments to refresh the facility to what one would expect of any Wyndham property named “Chateau”. While the beds are good, the chairs are getting pretty raggedy, cleaning showers, bathrooms, etc, is sketchy and attention to detail is poor. If you have a crooked bathroom light fixture with one bulb out and the balance a mismatched lot, it says nobody cares or isn’t bothering to look. Ditto on cups, closet hangers, toilet paper, etc. We had multiple rooms and they were all pretty much the same.
I’m not trying to be too critical, but as someone who has stayed in many hundreds of hotels across the globe in every price point, I feel it’s a qualified opinion. I would stay here again, so my motive is simply to alert travelers and ownership alike. Hopefully the latter will make the investments / personnel changes to refresh the old girl to five star reviews.”

“A standard place to lay your head for the night. Nothing special but nothing detracts from my overnight here during a road trip. A bit far from the freeway, but worth it for the price. No services (gas or food) nearby have to go a few miles into the town for anything. I had no problems with staff during check-in or in the morning.”
