Well first Off When you walk in the building makes you feel like you're at home The front desk personnel has great personality can't ask for any better The cleaning crew is very awesome they know what they're doing great personality And the manager over here Is Awesome The whole building Smell so good and the people that are staying over here Or very nice I would recommend staying over here short or long term If I could give a 10 stars I would Great hospitality can't ask for no betterRooms: So very clean they take pride in what they doSafety: All about safety

I had great experience at this hotel in New Iberia, until this weekend, the first room we were assigned to , did not have towels, did not have a shower curtain, floor dirty, no pillow covers on pillows, trash in the ac unit, freezer and ice box completely dirty.They did right and up grade me to a better room , which I was glad but did not have hot water at all . Friday and Saturday was a little warm and Sunday morning no hot water,we had to take cold showers before we left to get on the road.Very disappointed in this hotel that we always stayed in,Rooms: All the rooms needing updates

Low Grade hotel rooms. You have to wear shoes from the shower to the bed or your feet will turn black from the dirty floors. AC works on and off. Room smells musky. Shower leaks alone with other plumbing down the hallway. Door knobs are hanging off the doors. Black hand and foot prints on the walls and doors. Only ice machine in the building don't work.

I just want to share my evening and warn people from staying in this hotel.So we are staying at the Candlewood Suites in new Iberia and we check in to find that the elevator is down. It has been down for weeks according to the front desk. My dear friend that I’m driving is 83, in a wheelchair and has a busted knee (with a brace) from a recent fall. The front desk associate says there is nothing on the first floor and gives the most insincere “sorry” and points to the closest set of stairs.My friend asked if there is a discount for the massive inconvenience because she booked the handicapped room 2 days ago and nothing was mentioned about the elevator. She said no. My friend asked if there was someone on staff that can at least assist with bags and the wheelchair and she said no. The whole city is booked out for a festival. So we spent 40 mins climbing one flight of stairs.Not only that but there are water leaks everywhere - judging by the waiter damage on the carpet, it’s not a new issue.This property is clearly putting profit over their guests. (No surprise) but I bet that’s why nothing was mentioned when the reservation was made - they didn’t want to lose money on a sell out weekend. It’s unacceptable.Should an emergency arise and we have to leave quickly - well… it’s not gonna happen.Take my warning and avoid this place.Especially for $191.00/night.IHG Corporate

9/15/23This hotel smells so good when you enter the lobby area to check in!Walking up the stairs, though--yuck!There was a foul odor that smelled like hot Cheetos mixed with raw meat up the stair case.The fitness room was not available...as it seemed under some sort of repair.Another thing that was problematic was that the elevator was not working AND Staff members that checked us in did not state this until after receiving the key. The hotel should have lowered the room prices or not have booked anyone on 2nd floor on up. What was management thinking not to state this before giving rooms on the 2nd floor +?WHAT WAS MANAGEMENT THINKING NOT TO TELL A PATRON THAT THE ELEVATOR WAS OUT...AFTER GIVING THEM A ROOM KEY TO ANY FLOOR THAT WASN'T ROOM LEVEL?THIS WAS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY OPINION. YOU ALWAYS LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW BEFOREHAND WHAT THE SITUATION IS IN CASE THAT PERSON HAS SOME MEDICAL SITUATION AND CAN'T GO UP-AND-DOWN STAIRS.Be good to people. Be upfront with people. Issue refunds for when your establishment is not suitable to customers IF they can't handle circumstances.Rooms: The rooms are GREAT! It is equipped very well with cooking and eating utensils. There was even a small bottle of Palmolive to wash dishes with in the cabinet area.

Upon checking in the clerk told us the elevator was broken and then put us on the 3rd floor. Never even tried to accommodate us on the 1st floor or even the 2nd. We were put in a room with 2 big canisters of damp-rid and the mold smell was so horrible we were getting sick. My husband went down stairs after 30 minutes of checking in and we were refused a refund so we could go to another hotel. They did put us in the room next door. The smell wasn’t as bad but it was still there. The pool was full of debris and the pool chairs were in the pool. When asked about the pool the clerk didn’t seem bothered enough to even get someone to clean it. Sunday morning, no hot water. The 1st floor had a linen bucket to catch the water dripping from an apparent leak. It takes very weak people to refuse a refund to customers who do not want to stay in a hotel full of mold and mildew. That is very unhealthy. Tried calling Kelli and of course there was no answer. We don’t have money to throw away to pay what we paid and then again at another hotel because this hotel can’t fix the problems. That was extremely expensive for the nasty sloppy conditions of this hotel. I expected better from a Candlewood as we have stayed in Candlewood’s before. I did have a reservation for sugarcane festival weekend but that has been cancelled and we will be staying elsewhere because there is no way we can do that to ourselves again. I will be taking every avenue possible to be refunded for our stay as the conditions are not up to code. It’s honestly disgusting that this hotel is operating in these conditions. We will never stay here again. It’s definitely not worth the price and your health.

Made a reservation due to being exhausted from driving. Great location close to the highway and quiet. The hotel had a water pipe that was leaking in the hallway but that's not too big of a deal, things happen. The room stunk of Mildew and Mold. My sister and her husband are highly allergic to Mold. It only took 10 minutes for them to start coughing. My sister ended up getting sick in the parking lot when trying to get fresh air. Would not recommend this hotel if you have any kind of allergies.Rooms: Rooms smelled heavily of Mildew and Mold.

I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed with this hotel. Very nasty and smelly rooms. I was first put on 3rd floor. Couldn't stand the smell so I moved to 1st floor. Room was nasty. Now I currently have a pending charge of $500 which I'm in the process of getting a refund. I didn't even stay my entire reservation. I called the corporate and filed a complaint. All I want is my refund back. Need a lot of repairs done to the building.

Stayed here for 3 months. The room is nice . Professional and super nice manager and staff ?. We had a problems mouse droppings every day, for 2 weeks maybe because of the field at the back ( setup mouse trap and covered the gap) . The hallway doors have gaps, so that's where the mouse goes in and out in different rooms. Hope that gets fixed for future guests.Housekeeping ladies let me borrow their vacuum, which was nice because it's a strong one and gets all dog hairs. ( I was the one who change bed stuff, My dogs won't let them finish it , they will jump all over the bed and think they're playing. It happened once with the lady named Angel. Other ladies are scared of her, so I understand) . My dog has a favorite lady and gets pets from her, and it was the nighttime front desk lady. The water pressure and water is fixed . It was a great stay and felt comfortable the whole stay. Thank you people ?

Turned up just after midnight as were passing through n road trip, pre booked and late night book in confirmed. When tried to book in we had to wait whilst they vacated builders who were sleeping in the couches in our room. Most of the rest of the floor was a building site. We went to bed, got up early to the sounds of building work and then we left. Do not recommend this place.

DO NOT STAY HERE.Booked a 3 night stay. Roomed smelled awful on first night and floor was damp, but didn’t think twice as we only slept. Spent the days with family. Second Night we decided to bare through it. Left early again to be with family and come back around 7 pm. Room was awful again. My family and I decided to pack up and leave, While packing I reached for my 2 year olds toy that was halfway under the bed and found mildewed dog feces. I went to the front desk and was given cleaning supplies or told I could move to the 3rd floor with my disabled daughter and grandmother. I contacted the GM with no reply even though office staff told me she had seen my email. My 2 year old who is disabled was exposed to bodily fluids/blood from finding Toothpick flossers around our room. My daughters clothes stink from being on the floor with her toys… roaches in the cabinets.…. IHG customer service was great along with the sweet girl who works nights at the desk who couldn’t help with much as it’s not her job. I will be posting pictures As soon as the GM gets in at 7 and can address my refund or my attorney can advise further action.The cheaper motel would be a better option then this place. IHG STANDARDS ARE NOT MET HERE.

Staff is very friendly,rooms are nice. Down side there is no water pressure in the shower. If you want a steamy hot shower well good luck with that as well.Hopefully they will read this and fix the water pressure and maybe be we get lucky and they turn up the hot water a little more.

No water pressure or house keeping service. The staff was very professional and courteous. The water pressure was barely more than a trickle. I told housekeeping the first week just to replace towels and take the trash; they never came back.

The room was filthy. Blood and toothpaste on the doors. Dirty dishes in the cabinets. The heater started smoking when turned on and smelled terrible.
