I used to go to another bike shop here in New Orleans. Now I have been going to Alex's for my flat tires. And they have always been amazing. Today though I got another Flat and my bike has been a little woobly for some reason so I asked Mac to check it out. He fixed my flat but pointed out that It was wobbly cause the tire they gave me at another bike shop in town was already popping open after 2 months of use. He was clear about what he suggested to do and prices, and when I went back 20 minutes latter he found issues with my front tire and asked if i wanted them fixed before going ahead with it and charging me like other bike shops. My bike now rides better then every thanks to Mac. And was cheaper then anywhere else.
If you have any bike needs in New Orleans....Alex's is the place to go. Fair prices, knowledgable staff, and they can do it quick while you sit next door at a bar or around the corner at a Cafe.

“Exceptional! If you ride a bike, then go rent a bike from Michael. Cruise the French quarter or ride the bike friendly streets throughout the city. I went back and forth from here to there. Half day or full day rentals available. Bike came with a lock so I could stop for a beverage. Thank You Michael for the suggested tour I took in NOLA.”

“Brought a bike that had been sitting in the basement of my parents rental for years. Found out it was a cheap POS that wasn't worth the work. I brought the bike to have looked over to see if it was worth fixing. They were good enough to do that without charging as well. I may attempt to do some of the work myself and bring it back for the other things. My local friends use and recommend them as well.”

“Walked in and immediately thought “well organized bike shop with an extremely professional and personable staff with zero snotty vibe”. E-Bike friendly !!!!! Outstanding low-to-medium selection of bicycles available, say $600-1,100. Rough guess of: 20 seats; 25 pedals; 10 fenders; 35 handlebar tapes; 1 child trailer; four kid bikes; 30 fully assembled adult bikes; 10 tool bags; 15 water bottle holders; several handlebars; 30 tires; four chain lubes; 12 locks; 10 inflators and 10 tiny nitrogen(?) cylinders; one lounge area with a VCR (!!) with a selection of movies !!. A restroom for customers. I was there 25 minutes and 10 customers came and left happy with there extremely varied wants satisfied.
