Second time I have rented a bike from Mike. Excellent experience. Bike was top notch ( looked new). Had it for 8 days. Everyone at the shop is nice. Highly recommend

mikethebikeguy's owner and bicycle mechanic, Mike, was born and raised in New Orleans. He first began working as a bicycle mechanic in 1989 at the Bikesmith on Freret Street. It was the largest bike shop in New Orleans at the time. He worked at the Bikesmith for seven years and earned the title of “master mechanic”. After a stint in the Navy, he returned to New Orleans and worked at another local shop for 14 years as their head mechanic. In 2008 Mike was ready to spread his wings, and mikethebikeguy, llc opened its doors the week of Hurricane Gustav. Shortly after opening, Shane joined the team. Shane first started working on bicycles in 1990 and has worked alongside Mike at many of the same shops.
