Hyatt Regency New Orleans offers a great location and clean, comfortable rooms, making it a popular choice for travelers. Guests appreciate the responsive staff and the convenience of early check-in, though some have noted that the Regency Club remains closed. While the hotel features nice amenities like complimentary water at the front desk, there are concerns about outdated rooms and excessive fees, including a $50 valet charge and additional costs for package delivery. Guests have mixed feelings about the hotel being a convention spot, with reports of disturbances from large groups. The proximity to the trolley and local attractions is a plus, but some recommend using rideshares instead for quicker transport. Overall, the hotel provides a decent experience for visitors, with a few areas for improvement.
Common areas, restaurants, overall presentation, Is beautiful for an older hotel. But the rooms are very outdated- peeling wallpaper, grungy low lit rooms, motel style bathrooms, and sunken mattresses. Time for a remodel.

Excellent Globalist recognition. The hotel is beautiful and despite being very large (over 2000 rooms), the personal service given is outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel.
