My experience at First Horizon was a pleasure. CHRIS BRINSON was knowledgeable, professional, and expedited my loan process with ease and courtesy.

Applied for a mortgage with them and the whole process was smooth. Communication was constant and everything was explained to me thoroughly each step of the way. The mortgage loan personnel, Chris Brinson, was excellent.

The people inside are nice enough and they're more than willing to help you out. They even gave me water one time when it was really hot. Everytime I look at the terms and conditions though the corporation is just terrible. They want to sell your information and you never want a bank selling your information. No help in transferring money from One bank to another from home. Used to be like $15 I said no way. All worried about their pedestrian or bike traffic going up to drive through insurance reasons. Me without a car limits my banking hours. I've stayed with them now for a while they're really nice and I can't say that about too many banks.

Chris absolutely made this process completely painless. I was contract to close in about 27 days, which I didn't even realize was possible in this market. Ethical, easy to communicate with and understand, and very friendly.

The branch manager Chris is the most unhelpful branch manager I have ever interacted with.

This is as good a bank as any that isn't locally owned. Most big corporate banks are awful enough to be prosecuted, Citi and Wells to name a couple. So I feel pretty good about this one. The staff is friendly and competent. Don't know about the racism mentioned in another critique here, the officer who opened my account was a black gentleman. Might have been the bank president.

Very poor customer service to the people of color in this city. Racially profiling and criminally insinuating. I have read several articles and reviews that say the same thing over and over again. My friend Sonya was recently profiled and her bank account was closed. There will be legal justice taken here. Very soon.

I experienced racism at this branch. I was asked if I would like to speak with a "black banker." I was also accused of fraud without cause. My accounts were closed. The banker was condescending and apathetic.

So to say this is a great bank is entirely false. My sister just recently tried to conduct business with your St Charles Avenue location in New Orleans. However she was met with discrimination. She was accused of fraudulent activity by Mark Nikoja, the bank teller she was working with. He even suggested that she meet with a " black banker." In the midst of the accusation the bank investigated her funds that's were obtained legally for her business account with you all. She was asked to send in documentation to verify that she even has a business. A business that has been in existence and registered with the Secretary of State for years . Her account was then terminated as Mr. Nikoja stated based on their discretion, he also suggested again that she should ONLY work with a " black banker." Employees treating hard working and honest customers this way is beyond me. It really reflects badly on the company as a whole. I suggest other people of color find banking that respects them as a person along with conducting business professionally. The treatment she received was in poor taste and downright despicable.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR I studied all of the local banking options before moving my relationship here after 31 years at the Whitney. Why did I move? I got tired of long lobby waits at Hancock locations that had slashed personnel. All I wanted to do was either access my safe deposit box or update my address which had to be done in-branch. Each time I was stuck waiting behind a befuddled slow moving customer that essentially emptied out their purse and expected the branch rep to balance their checkbook for them. NOT EGALITARIAN At Whitney the minimum balance is $250 for free checking. At Iberia it is $5,000. Further there is a 14 hold on the first $5,000 deposited as a vetting period. The lobbies at Iberia are beautifully appointed. The wait is minimal because Iberia is not a cut-rate bank.

I've had nothing but great experiences with this branch. I go out of my way to come to this one. Polite tellers and great customer service.

These guys are not very bright. Had my debit card compromised while traveling abroad. Although I called to alert them that I would be out of the country and gave the dates, a week after my return over $400 was taken from my account. Had to file paperwork in person and wait 10 business days for a new card. Other banks can do it on the spot. Asked for a call from the branch manager which I never received. As soon as I have time to untangled auto deposits, etc., I will remove every penny from this bank. Poor, indifferent service.
