I went for dinner, live music. Very good sandwich with meat and chips, with beer recommended by the waiter and I must say excellent! The only flaw is seeing people abandoning tables due to the waiting time.

Excellent beef po'boy and HUGE portion! Excellent French fries to accompany. Friendly service.
Casual, live music venue at the end of Frenchmen St. offering great chef inspired food and hand crafted cocktails, good wine list and local draft beer.
Frenchmen Street now rivals the French Quarter for its diversity of food offerings. But Marigny Brasserie has survived the comings and goings of many of its nearby competitors. If you like small plates, you'll find such treats as boudin balls with spicy aïoli, crawfish fritters and a nice presentation of a local favorite, oyster shooters. Entrées emphasize regional flavors such as crawfish pasta, fried shrimp, and red beans and rice. A nice assortment of po' boys and other sandwiches is available, with the standout being a cochon du lait po' boy. Local favorites also figure in desserts like the chocolate peanut butter pie. The wine list is well thought out and nicely organized, featuring such predictable selections as the standard Kendall Jackson Chardonnay or La Crema Pinot Noir. But there are some fine surprises as well: a rich Argentinean Malbec and peppery Chilean Cabernet. The list is international in scope, and offers a respectable by-the-glass selection.
