Wonderful experience grooming here on January 26, 2025 with Edie.
My Sheltie hasn’t been regularly groomed since covid. Shelties really do need pretty regular grooming. My poor girl had been neglected when I scheduled with Edie. I was actually concerned I’d be told she could not be done since she was really, REALLY, overdue and oh-so-furry.
Edie was great. Only one day to schedule, and running right on time. I did let her know my girl was overdue, but Edie did not seem concerned. She was very sweet, soft spoken and gentle with my scared little Sheltie girl. I knew she was in good hands with Edie when we left.
I picked her up a couple hours later, and I was thrilled with the very thorough shampoo-conditioning (with Furminator), grooming, cut, nails, teeth, etc. Edie did a fabulous job, and again, I’ll say it—my girl was way overdue. She’s now super soft and beautifully trimmed.
I could not be happier, and I’ve been unafraid to speak up in the past about sub-standard grooming elsewhere. We will definitely be back and will certainly ask for Edie next time.
Of note: I’m aware of “tipping backlash,” but a good dog groomer absolutely earns a 20% gratuity, which we were happy to leave with Edie’s coworkers when we picked up our girl.

I sent my dog there and he came home half cut, they got lazy and did not feel like cutting the rest of him or trying to make him look presentable in public. Every time I take my dog there, they always have something negative to say about the way he looks and my job as a dog owner. When my dog came home.

I feel like they did not want to help me. I walked around for a good little while. No one asked if need help. Then when I asked for help, I was told to hold on by two employees. I asked how to set up a fish tank. No one told me I needed solution for the water. They all had low energy. Fyi one of the employees is a manager, very unpleasant too.

I stopped here to buy treats for my 3 dogs, and had a very unpleasant experience as an AA woman. I asked two female clerks ( one AA and one white) could I used the restroom as there was a lock code on the door. The white female looked at me as if deciding if she wanted to share the code, and decided against it. She stated the restroom was out of order and to go to the stores next door. The AA woman (teenager) just looked at her, as if the statement wasn’t true.
As I was not patronizing the other stores, I had a problem with this. There was also no out of order signs on the restroom doors.
It was really an uncomfortable situation, so I will not be patronizing this store anymore.

I’m coming from out of town.
You need to FIRE every single immature, untrained, and uneducated groomer working.
I came in with my K9 trained dog.
Over the phone she said all I needed to bring was my ID.
Upon arrival, the groomer checking me in had an attitude(that’s called bad customer service)
And then proceeded to ask if he’s spayed or neutered (he’s a male dog- she doesn’t know the difference between spay or neuter).
She then said I need to bring in his rabies vaccination.
Excuse me.
Please take your dog to a local groomer who actually probably cares about dogs.
They hired a bunch of young mean uneducated women working in grooming just to have a job and it shows - they don’t care about their job.
ALSO one groomer had a vaporizer- check the camera sitting next to the dog grooming station.
So your pets will enjoy a nice aroma of second hand smoke. Fix this problem. Horrendous employees horrendous energy. God bless you all.
Stay away from this place and go to a local kind groomer. Customer service matters when you’re paying, and aren’t all customers paying? My money won’t go here. Remove this store.

Grooming facility at this location is poorly run and operated. Manager uses "I've only been here 3 months" excuse when questioned on poor communication.
Scheduled grooming couple hours after vaccinations, did not know 48 hour window, that's on me.
Reschedule for 2 days later at 9:30am. Call at 9am and speak to groomer on if my particular breed is an issue staying until I get off work at 3pm. Assured no issue as long as picked up by 5pm.
Leave my job, travel across town to bring my dog and get back to work. Get there to find out can't leave dog past grooming period and forced to drive back across town to bring dog immediately back home.
The worst is guy I spoke to on the phone sat silently while all this was stated, I said multiple times "who of the 2 of yall did I just speak to that stated this would not be an issue."
Took him 5 minutes to own it and tell me to take my dog back.
Great service at reception, but don't trust these groomers with your loved ones!
We'll see how it's handled after speaking to lead store manager Rich later today!

Took my cat to have his rabies shot administered by Shot Vet. It was quick and inexpensive and he wasn't even scared so it seems like they did a good job!

The groomer did a good job on my poodle but only one of the workers were particularly friendly, which isn't a concern for me as much as for my dog while she's there without me. While I was picking up my dog, I heard one of the groomers get frustrated and curse with the small dog she was grooming at the time. Not saying it's not frustrating to groom dogs who don't want to be groomed, but I would hope they would have more patience and it just makes me uncomfortable leaving my dog with people when I'm not there when I see behavior like this.

This is the absolute WORSE service I have ever received at a PetSmart store. I am a regular customer at the Baton Rouge (Millerville) location however I was in town and needed to get my pet groomed. Prior to bringing my current dog, I brought my other dog for 11 years to several PetSmart locations in Louisiana and Tennessee, before he passed away. I would like to start with the poor customer service. The groomer I spoke with upon arrival seemed to be completely confused by my request. I not only showed a picture of how Dolce's hair is cut but I also had a note which another groomer took a picture of with her cell phone. The manager was called over to gain clarity and also seemed to be confused and did not offer reassurance of her staff's capabilities. The first young lady I spoke with had a horrible attitude and huffed under her breath at my requests. I left my dog there because the only staff member that seemed to have sense and understood my requests was the young lady who took the photo. I usually pay ahead of time through my app however due to the conversation that took place prior to dropping off my pet I decided to wait until I arrived at the store and saw Dolce. As I approached the groomers area I was given my ticket by the young man in a very dismissive manner and told to bring it to the front. I could see Dolce and his hair was NOTHING as I requested. Dolce had minimal matting and I also stated I would pay additional for that service as well however there is no reason he should have been cut to his skin. I went to the front to pay and when I went back to show proof of payment and get Dolce he was handed off to me without a word and without any care. I know this is not the usual experience however I would like it to be known how poorly the staff at this location handled a very loyal customer.

The store hours on the website and posted on the store say the groomers are open until 7pm and accept walk ins. Brought my dog in for a nail trim at 4:30pm and was told they were closed for the day- they left early.
