“I recently relocated to Reserve , I had no idea that the locals meant , upon my asking, how far and what's the nearest grocery to my new house that " oh its not far , there's several stores in reserve , we like and use em. " turned out that EVERYTHING , I MEAN ANYTHING FROM GROCERIES to US post office , city hall , attorneys,gym gas stations etc, etc .....Is literally , approx 60 steps across the street I live on the rear access is entirely too close to drive there!! Which is wonderful since I no longer drive. If I did tho I'd feel like fool doing so and the drive there may be the scenic route. Idk but on all occasions in the short time I've lived here I've always beat neighbors who did take that route by , what I believe is record times and feels like I should be a celebrity athlete and hold several record times and ither awards, equivalent to the more well known events such as a "Gramny, Emny etc . Would not be surprised if I have swept em all . I say this very humbly because I always make my groceries and my next door neighbors are just pulling into there favorite parking spots as I open my backdoor yo put my groceries up.I always wanted to live out past Destrehan off rover road, If only I had k own that this move to reserve is the best choice in my entire life, in ways I had no idea of! So to answer the question, Gregg's is wonderful, all the business on my town have been nothing short of 5 star experiences for me. However even moreso , the people I've interacted with in my daily life here are incredibly the absolute poster child's of what living in " Mayberry " in the 50- 60 Era. Kind , helpful genuine people that go the distance, willingly to be rhe people they are . This is across the gambit,there's nothing that would indicate race, class or Any title, box or whatever you want to burden and waste your life on. Its doesn't ans has never raised its ugliness, EVER THIS PAST YEAR.I CANT TELL YOU HOW AMAZIBG, THIS FEELING OF LOVE THY NEIGBORS, AND THE PERFECT WORLD I CALL HOME , MY HEAVEN, PEACE AND HSPPY PLACE FEELS LIKE , IT IS HERE , ITS IN RESERVE Louisiana!!!This is life we live effortlessly, daily words can't define my life experiences here. “Staff was very friendly. Store was neat. Love to see the diversity and was pleased to see a bilingual employee. She was very helpful and stopped what she was doing to help me find what I was looking for. The employees at the register were very friendly and greeted everyone as they checked them out. I had a wonderful experience”

“The store is spotless, friendly employees and anything you could possibly need , they have it. I've told so many about it , It's worth the visit , you won't be dissatisfied, I promise you.”

“The food is good and fresh. I got the 8 piece mixed chicken. My only critique is that it’s not really mixed because there is no breasts in the box. That is my favorite piece so I was a little taken back to see that. Other than that it was good. Adding photos of the menu.”

“It's small, but has your basic things which beats driving all the way to walmart. The thing that sets this place apart from the others is Chris who runs it. Won't meet a nicer guy who goes out of his way to help. I recently had foot surgery and can't walk but the few times I've needed staples (milk, bread etc.) I've called Chris and he brought it out to me, took my card, ran in and brought my recipe. You don't find that service anymore.”

-can find better quality food
-smaller store option is way less overwhelming and provides all the basics
- prices are so much more affordable, esp the clearance prices
- seasonal food items have been shockingly amazing
-love the little what not aisle
- the cheese selection is one of my favorites

Cons:
- not a fan of the check out process.. ive had meat thrown on top of the last pair holiday pjs in my daughters size (who was with me) and red meat juice got on it. Ive had bread get squished bc it had stuff thrown on top of it.. constantly having to strategize how to prevent stuff like that from happening

-fruit is very hit or miss with mold. Usually have better luck with the organic section”

Muhammad was super friendly and helpful in helping me choose a good vape. ?When I left I accidentally forgot my wallet on the counter. ? Luckily this guy is so awesome that he immediately put my wallet somewhere safe, looked at my ID, and contacted me through FB to make sure I could retrieve it from the store.I came back and got my wallet successfully ?Thank you for going above and beyond and I wish your store the best ?”

“The inside of the store is the total opposite of how it's portrayed on the outside. Lots of nice products, lots of cute clothes to choose from compared to other locations I've been too.And the staff is super friendly & energetic.”

“I don't understand all the negative reviews. My experience was quite different. I found everything I needed—items that eluded me at other DG's. I had friendly conversations with two employees. And, the store had ample inventory. There was an employee stocking shelves with a large cart in the aisle, but she promptly removed the cart and I certainly don't begrudge her the job she was happily doing. She was very courteous and we had a brief convo that was friendly. The store was clear of carts, clean, and checkout was prompt.Now, I did ask if there were restrooms inside the store and was told no, but did notice both Men and Women restrooms while checking out. I assume the employee hadn't heard my question or, perhaps, the bathroom was out of order.I visited twice yesterday and both visits were satisfactory.”
