“Update on Friday my wife was in the store with her sister shoping. For some reason she fell on the floor and bang her head. The assistant was brilliant and help her and called the ambulance for her.I was also called and cannot call the store for anything as nothing was around or near to cause her to fall. Thank you for everything you did. Needs more than one staff member on register Had to wait in line for nearly 15 mins and cashier was not very pleasant.”

“I've been shopping at Harbor Freight for decades. Most of the tools were very low quality, but cheap. So for single use tools at a very low cost, it was a perfect place to buy tools. Since then, some of the tools are nearly as good as expensive name brand tools. The price has gone up, but they're still cheaper than brand name tools that cost much more. I'm not embarrassed to own Icon, Hercules or Quinn tools.”
“This particular dollar general has a new manager and she really takes proud in her store. I remember when she was at the one down hwy 43 and she is great. Her name is Stephanie and I am glad she is at this store now. Yall are going to see a enormous difference in how this stor was and is now that Stephanie is over it!!!! Trust me!!!”
“You can almost always find just about everything you need here and it's inexpensive. The only complaint I have is that there's only one cashier, one cash register, one lane open so sometimes you're in line waiting for a few minutes. On more rare occasions you may even wait in the check out line for a little while.”

“Went in there last week. The store employee was fantastic. Excellent customer service. KJ was his name. He was very pleasant, prompt, attentive. This young man was fantastic. First, he greeted me with a smile. He then took my little yellow basket when I asked him what to do with it. I got a propane refill and he asked the other employee if she could stay up front while he helped me. We need more great customer service like him. He was a pleasure.”
“Its a basic dollar general. Nothing out of the ordinary. The cashiers are always nice and personable. Haven't had any issues at this location with the exception of having to look for the cashier every now and then, but that's the usual at most dollar generals b/c the cashiers also stock. They usually show up pretty quickly when they see a customer and I'm almost always greeted as I enter the store.”
“I came in today (12/31/23) at around 3:30pm to return some headphones. For some reason the register didn't like that and it had to be shut down. The delay made one certain customer act out rather rudely... I just want to say that the guy working the register was absolutely amazing and he handled the situation and the rude customer very professionally. I didn't catch his name but that man deserves a raise!!! I appreciate him very much and he definitely reacted better than I would have! Thank you so much and I'm sorry I was the cause of a lot of frustration.”

Clean, friendly staff and for all your quick needs they usually have them on the shelf, but I was just passing through. I don’t live in this area. Please up the pay and maybe you will get more help. The managers work hard to keep it together. I visit no less than 2-3 times per week because I hate having to go to Wally World. Cudos to the employees that are sticking it out. My suggestion: maybe hire a night crew to strictly stick the shelves.”

I was at Dollar General on Old Spanish Trail on April 11th, 2023..it was just about closing time.For anyone reading this...wow yall...I haven't seen people with positive management skills happy to serve their customers...in a VERY LONG TIME.the team of employees looked content and happy to be there. Rare. People nowadays usually look miserable no matter where you go...So I'm disabled...I'm epileptic...I'm not allowed to drive...it's by some odd luck I even got a ride up there to get a few things..I also splurged on some candles. By the time I got home, I realized I had left my candles there. Since it was hard to find a way up there, I called the store and asked if they could just put the candles back on my debit card (thinking it might be saved in system)...I found out I would still have to be up there with the card.Devon, the day shift Manager, offered up to bring them to my address after his shift. Yet another jaw dropping moment from this store! Not only that but the friendly smile, friendliness, and willingness to go that serious extra mile for me?? Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
