“I delivered a car load of things to this thrift shop today. The ladies there were very sweet. They have a lot of things there and great variety. I donated there because they give 50% to the schools in the parish. Nice that they are always giving back. Thank you!”
“Friendly greeting and service, as always! Visit Dollar General for good products (mostly) at a reasonable cost. This store is quiet so you can shop in peace. I'll never smell those terrible candles again. Other than that, DG runs a great store! I find makeup products here that are comparable to ULTA, yet far less expensive. I have visited for 1 or 2 items only to get easily distracted browsing the entire store. If I snag a few extra items, and I usually do, it doesn't break the wallet - unlike expensive and chaotic Walmart shopping. Also, Dollar General staff won't hold you and a line full of customers at the door to glance at a receipt. Dollar General employees thank you for shopping there and wish you a good day when you leave! Customers like me appreciate that. I will definitely be back and it will likely be soon.”
“Fun to look for obscure cheap items great for finding drink mixes and cheese dipping sauce for cheap, if I had kids id go here to get lunch prep for them they have a great selection on snack items for the price”

“My kids love this place. (3 girls, ages 11, 9, and 5)They carry all the little popular toys and fidgets the kids like these days.It's a good place to get kids' birthday gifts. They also have some of the more unique toys as well. Oh and candy....lots and lots of candy and snacks, some common brands, but also some you don't see anywhere else.The store is usually pretty clean and organized, and employees are okay.”
“Very clean, well stocked store. They have milk in cartons that have a nice shelf life. Friendly and helpful staff. One helped a teacher get enough small stockings for her class. Another found the cherry flavored candy canes I always enjoy getting for Christmas.”

“My grandmother and I were taking a trip to Texas to see my dying father when my 90 year old grandmother had a horrible accident in her pants. We had to stop at this location, and the girls that worked there were so very understanding and compassionate. We had to buy her a whole new set of clothes, undergarments, wipes and everything. They allowed us to use their restroom to clean up and even allowed her to change before paying. Of course we cleaned up any mess we had made, but the kindness they showed was above and beyond. They seriously deserve a raise for the way they handle the situation. Highly recommend this location!!!”

“The Dollar General in Sorento is a good spot to stop and pick up any of several items. This is a convenient location, right on Airline Highway and easy to enter and exit. The store is relatively clean and fairly well stocked. We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating.”
“The employees in all of my stores in Ascension Parish in LA...Gonzales, Prairieville, ST Amant...are all very helpful. Please take note that all stores have the same problem. They are understaffed and that does not allow adequate time to stock merchandise. There is always a line and usually only 2 or 3 workers, often including management. It is very convenient for all general needs but not if it's not on the shelves. we have many stores in our area but not enough workers. Everyone agrees on this and I often shop elsewhere because I can see the line before I walk in. In this area, we prefer to shop your stores than larger stores like Walmart.”
“Haven't been there since the reopen after the flood, doors are wider, we just got some big chip clips, some plant pruners, a mr. Clean dust pan, that you can stand up with while using. And some liquid lysol disinfectant cleaner.”
“Best place to steal from. They even put a sign up front telling you when no one is available to check you out because they are busy with freight. I'm not hating...but it seems like a good invitation for thieves. Why is the DG expanding when it can't even staff its current stores?”
