“Friendly employees, fast checkout. A little crowded the day we went. Lots of carts with stock blocking aisles, etc. Had to go around another aisle to get to what we needed from the aisle that was blocked. Had to wait to get by an employee until they had finished stocking shelves...caused my friend a little frustration and anxiety, but, we made it! “I love the dollar tree they have lots of choices for a very good value. The problem with the dollar tree is that every time you shop here, there are boxes everywhere and the empty shelves . The Company doesn't keep the place with enough staff to maintain the store. Don't get me wrong, the employees who are working are always busy. When you have a business like this that is in the middle of a crazy busy city, you definitely need to have the staff to handle the customer flow. Now for the quality most things are good you have to really pay attention on how things are put together we know they are not top of the line but sometimes things are just poorly made and fall apart on first use . We bought one of their mops, and it didn't make it 10 minutes before it fell apart. I do love their seed collections for someone on a budget its a great value to start a garden. So buyers be aware of each item if it looks cheaply made, leaving it on the shelf ?”
“This store has had a dramatic change in these past 3 months and now it’s enjoyable to shop here. If you would have asked me a year ago to go shop at this store I would have thought it was a joke. This was one of the most disgusting stores in my area. Not only stock but trash everywhere in this store. The floor was always so dirty I didn’t even like walking on it. You couldn’t even push a buggy down any of the aisles it was so piled with boxes. I was always scared to move anything in fear of something falling on me. They are now under new management obviously so go ahead and check them out now. This store is the cleanest it’s ever been. Thanks Dollar General for making management changes because now I can shop at this store again.”

“My kids love this place. (3 girls, ages 11, 9, and 5)They carry all the little popular toys and fidgets the kids like these days.It's a good place to get kids' birthday gifts. They also have some of the more unique toys as well. Oh and candy....lots and lots of candy and snacks, some common brands, but also some you don't see anywhere else.The store is usually pretty clean and organized, and employees are okay.”

“This store 16208 hwy44 has an employee named Sarah. I've come to this dollar general for the past few years here and there. Everytime I go this woman is always so pleasant. Not only to me either. She greets everyone and always seems to be in a good mood. I wish we had more employees in these stores like her. She actually brought me a basket while I was walking down an isle juggling several items in my arms lol. If she isn't manager or top paid yall need to give this woman a raise.and praise her !! She is a keeper for sure !”
“Five Below is like a dollar store and a carnival had a very enthusiastic child. I walk in for one thing and leave with glitter slime, a lava lamp, sour candy, a t-shirt that says “Mood,” and no memory of how I got there.
It feels like a reality show. The aisles are wild, the soundtrack is bumpin’, and at any moment I expect someone to yell “You have 60 seconds to fill your cart—GO!” The self-checkout? Questionable. I’m 80% sure I accidentally tipped the machine.
Now let’s talk about the tech section. Bless it. It’s full of $5 headphones that look like AirPods but will cut out the second you put your phone in your pocket. Charging cables that last about as long as a gas station hot dog. Bluetooth speakers that play music and white noise—at the same time. It’s not high-end, but it’s high-effort chaos, and I respect that.
Five stars for fun, absurd deals, and for turning shopping into a low-stakes fever dream. ?️?⚡”
“I gave this store four stars just because it's close to home but I don't go out my way to go there unless I forgot something. It's my "go to" if I forget anything. They do have clearance stuff on cleaning items but you do have to watch and price compare if it's worth it. They don't always have what you need since it's just general select items. It's a conscience thing if you don't want to go to your local super center. This is a great place to get candy if you have a sweet tooth! I do like this place because of the location and there is a Redbox outside. They do have pool toys at a reasonable price if your going to the beach. As a dollar store you can find somethings for a $1 but do your comparative price check and they do have a general selection on stuff if you need to just get in and out of a store! I can tell you that they were open around our area because my area flooded during the great storm woth no name in August 2016 and I was very fortunate they were open!”
“I will go out of my way to go here versus a couple others in the area. Clean and organized almost all the time. I can actually find things and the shelves are tidy and there's not stuff everywhere in the way. I really appreciate the effort they put in to make it a pleasant shopping experience!”
“Haven't been there since the reopen after the flood, doors are wider, we just got some big chip clips, some plant pruners, a mr. Clean dust pan, that you can stand up with while using. And some liquid lysol disinfectant cleaner.”

“My grandmother and I were taking a trip to Texas to see my dying father when my 90 year old grandmother had a horrible accident in her pants. We had to stop at this location, and the girls that worked there were so very understanding and compassionate. We had to buy her a whole new set of clothes, undergarments, wipes and everything. They allowed us to use their restroom to clean up and even allowed her to change before paying. Of course we cleaned up any mess we had made, but the kindness they showed was above and beyond. They seriously deserve a raise for the way they handle the situation. Highly recommend this location!!!”
“I personally enjoyed my visit today at the Dollar General in Denham Springs off of range! I was in and out fairly quick there was actually a large amount of holiday stuff to choose from and of course I'm usually always happy with the prices”

“The employees in all of my stores in Ascension Parish in LA...Gonzales, Prairieville, ST Amant...are all very helpful. Please take note that all stores have the same problem. They are understaffed and that does not allow adequate time to stock merchandise. There is always a line and usually only 2 or 3 workers, often including management. It is very convenient for all general needs but not if it's not on the shelves. we have many stores in our area but not enough workers. Everyone agrees on this and I often shop elsewhere because I can see the line before I walk in. In this area, we prefer to shop your stores than larger stores like Walmart.”

“The store is kept well stocked & the employees are fast & friendly. Their refrigerator section has been out of order on & off part of all of the sections for some time now so if you are craving ice cream or want a frozen pizza I suggest calling ahead to ask first.”
