December 2023 by Patti Todd
My husband & I are very disappointed with Beaux’s meat processing. We brought our deer to them on Sunday 11-26. They left the deer in their cooler until we called to ask about it, on December 11. Person said didn’t know when would be ready. When my husband told her they’d had meat 2 weeks already, she called back and said it would be ready next day. We specifically asked that our deer steaks not be tenderized but they tenderized them anyway. Have prior experience with them tenderizing deer steaks & they fell apart when we cooked them. Workers had zero empathy. A man said, “Well, they’re tenderized”. He did not care that we were unhappy. We will never use Beaux’s again.

We love Beaux’s. We have had our deer processed there and we’ve gotten crawfish from. The staff has always been nice and they’ve always done a great job. We highly recommend!

I noticed other people's complaints about processing at this place and figured I would add my own. I dropped off a deer last season and got the deer back cut oddly. Almost like you would a domestic pig. It was not deboned in the hind legs, but rather cut across the bones. It was a small deer so while not happy about it, I sucked it up. I ended up dropping a second deer off there as well. This one was very similar to some of the stories below. I asked for whole backstraps, loins, and roasts and grind the front and other smaller trim. I got back 2 back straps, 2 tenderloins, 1 football roast, and 23 packages of ground meat. Add this on top of the multiple items I have bought there that seem to be fine until I have gotten home only to find broken or non functioning parts. I have to drive by this store everyday. And I will continue to do so and not stop.

These people don't care about the quality of their products or the satisfaction of their customers. They will sell rotten game, spoiled meats, and expired goods. DO NOT give them your deer or hog; DO NOT give them your money. What you'll get back won't be yours, if you get anything back at all. The workers are mistreated. They can't keep the good ones for a reason. There's no such thing as ethics or morals in this place of business.

Friendly staff who do a great job processing meat. being able to drop off whole animals all the way till closing time was amazingly helpful. Prices are good and the meat comes out great!

I would give this place less than 1 star if possible. My husband dropped off a 135 pound field dressed buck last month. I went to pick the meat up today and they brought out 15 pounds of ground meat plus the backstraps and a few tenderloins. When I questioned the lack of meat we got back, the man who had brought it out to me was rude and told me the dear wasn't boneless. Seriously??!! They finally found another bag with 17 pounds of meat in it. That is it. My husband shot a smaller dear last year and we got around 50 pounds off of it and this much bigger dear we got less than 35. Not happy at all. I am not impressed with what we received and the (lack of )customer service. This was our first and last time we bring meat here to be processed.

My wife just went in to pick up the meat from a 180 pound deer I'd shot. They brought out 15 pounds of meat and rudely tried to tell her that was it. I got more meat off of a 50 pound button buck processed at Bellevue Meats. They eventually looked and found about 20 pounds more meat, but they still managed to lose approximately 30 pounds of meat. Don't waste your time or money here. They are woefully incompetent at Beaux's. Go to Bellevue or do it yourself.

Great employees and the best quality meats I’ve found in Shreveport/Bossier. Pork chops look like beautiful marbled steak.

The meat quality is outstanding. They are carrying a good selection of groceries now. They even process and that is also wonderful. Hidden gem!

We recently used Beaux’s processing service due to our preferred processor being bombarded. We dropped off a large wild hog (weighing 175lbs). We ordered their “basic” cut; expecting pork back strap, loins, chops and ground pork. Today we picked up our order and were completely shocked! There is 3 packages of pork chops and 19 packs of ground pork. That’s it!
