“Dr. Hughes and his staff are nothing short of amazing. My family and I have been bringing our pups here for about 15 years now and we’ve never once had a bad experience. Unfortunately last week we had a terrible emergency visit with another vet (NOT at ellerbe road) that left our pup very ill, but the next day Dr. Hughes was able to see her. She was taken such good care of over the next few days and I will never be able to thank everyone up there enough. We feel so blessed by the entire staffs kindness and their care for our senior girl. I know without a doubt that everyone at Ellerbe Road Animal Hospital truly cares about pets AND people.”

“They are a wonderful friendly staff and veterinarians!I recommend them for anyone who wants their fur babies to be taken care of with professional and genuine care!We have recently moved to the area from south Florida and on a recommendation of family we took our cat Tibias here they even though it was 5 minutes before closing they made sure it was not a true emergency and then held him over night and took care of him first thing in the morning. I was impressed with the qualified and skilled staff.. everyone has been excellent in their positions. Dr Everson exemplifies care and you can genuinely sense that he not only loves animals but loves his job and what he does. We have always felt our dogs were in great care, they are never pushy, honest with their advice, and focus on what you need and not what is just going to drive more profit. “Provenance Vet has exceeded expectations for me and my fur baby. I have an aggressive dog and they have been nothing but understanding and patient with providing him with the services he needs. Dr. Waddell gave us suggestions and we ended up getting him neutered, she had been so understanding and accommodating for him! They gave me updates during the procedure and after and also called and checked up on him the next day. I cannot thank this practice enough for being so patient with such a difficult dog like mine! “I live on Kings Highway and my dog ran away Friday 2/9/24. My neighbor saw an Ad on Facebook saying that Southside Animal Hospital had found one and my Prayers were answered. It was my dog and they took her in and sheltered her and I'm sure that they fed her. I picked her up Saturday morning and they didn't charge me anything. Great and compassionate people there.”

“My 53 pound bog got into rat poison. We called the vet's office & they said come in now & bring the rat poison. They were waiting for her.It took her a long time for the antidote to take place, so she was given more. She finally started vomiting until her belly was empty. The vet tech took care of cleaning. Up the entire room. We had to get her RX at the emergency room vet. She was happy to walk in the parking lot til the RX was ready. She got home & drank. a lot & then ate her dinner. It was a great experience! We return in 14 days. I'm grateful for the staff & doc. I've been going there about 15 years.”
