“It's true. Even before the pandemic, they didn't adhere to safe food practices at all. I've witnessed things here that *should* make me never return. HOWEVER, they have the BEST roast beef poboy in Metairie and I have a weakness. So I try to forget the woman that mixed the potato salad with her hands, licked her fingers to taste it and then put her freshly licked fingers right back in the mixing bowl. I take my vitamins and I don't order the potato salad. The people who work there are older, and this place likely won't be around much longer, so I have to get my roast beef while I still can.”

“Best gas prices around. Always 15 to 20 cents cheaper, great supplies for boating, don't forget to visit the Daq. shop in the same building. Another great place to get gas , eat, shop, or get something to drink! I drive down the road just for the prices; but found great people, friendly atmosphere, gotta love it!?”

“One stop shop. Apparently they were closed, BUT NOW THEY'RE OPEN and ready for business. Stopped in for a shrimp poboy. Oooohhh so tasty. The shrimp were plentiful. The bread was chewy, not the crunchy, roof of your mouth scraping french bread that most are accustomed to. I personally like this type of bread as it's easier to munch out on. Lots of food combo and food offerings. Sodas, water, beer & other adult beverages. Other store offerings are what you would find in a mini-mart: crackers, dishwashing soap, cleaning products, toilet paper, motor oil... lots of quick needs items. The store staff were friendly & swift to check out. This store is very busy and I can understand why, as it's the nearest thing to a full service store in the area. Parking is limited, but off-street is parking is also an option.”

“Abe and Wally are some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and they run a great little store. The food is quite amazing. And CHEAP! I'm talking about $7 bucks for a 16" Fried Shrimp poboy! Hot plate lunches, daily specials. Then they have a variety of sundries, all at very reasonable prices. Gas prices are always below average.”

“Nothing about the place extraordinary about the place. Just your average neighborhood convenience store. They do cooked food that is pretty decent. It's never really crowded, so you can make a quick trip if you so desire. The strip mall is located in is pretty much empty. So parking is easy”

“I've been going to Mike's for several years now and I mostly go at night they used to be open till 2 am but now they close at midnight. They have a great selection of tobacco products and snacks and a surprising but if household items for such a small store. The two employees you'll meet at night are Mike a small Hispanic man who's pretty quiet but whom if you talk to has a nice comforting manner to himAnd major who has honestly watched me grow up a little, he's a great person to talk to, gives wonderful advice, and honestly he's got ur back, but he's definitely the kind of guy who can stand his ground for the good of the storeThis store is nicely settled on Claiborne very close to a lot of residents of the bywater. I've taken many intoxicated walks up there and it's a great place to go to restock your party.I give this place 5/5 stars genuine employees, convenient location, abundant selection of goods, nice and clean store, and they enforce the mask policy”
