“The rooms were clean and the service I interacted with were polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. I felt safe even though I traveled alone during my stay. The building was under some renovations, but it didn't interrupt my stay and I didn't notice any excessive noise. My king room was on the smaller side, but was perfect for me staying alone. The bathroom was large and I dont normally take a bath in a hotel, but the tub looked inviting and was large and clean. The eggs and sausage were the worst thing about my stay. I have never seen someone overcook something so much and still try to serve it. Put way less time on that microwave next time. I will definitely stay again when in the area and eat a waffle or some toast.Rooms: Small, but cleanSafety: Well lit, cameras in public areas, etc. I traveled alone and felt safe.Food & drinks: They have a few beverages and snacks available for sale at the front desk.”

“Absolute PERFECTION! I don't write reviews often but felt compelled to let others know. We stayed at Staybridge in Lake Charles this weekend. We booked room 329 which has 2 queen beds and a bathroom, 1 king and bathroom, living room with a comfy pullout, FULL kitchen, and living room. It was so nice and modern. Super clean and fresh. The breakfast was hot and fresh with omlets, sausage, fruits, waffles, potatoes, scones, parfaits, etc. They had washer and dryers... New... Free!!! A basketball court outdoors the kids loved. A BBQ area with propane! Beautiful lounge room with fireplace and a huge TV entertainment room. Also a fountain soda machine. The ladies at the front were super nice and really passionate about their jobs and going above and beyond. MS. RHONDA was the best. She was so helpful. If you are looking around... This is it! I was so impressed. And it's right by the mall and casinos and food. Perfect location. We had a wonderful experience and couldn't be happier! We will be back soon.Rooms: Clean and fresh!!!”

“A last minute necessary stop on our journey home led us to this incredible gem of a hotel. The Candlewood Suites in Sulphur Louisiana is a VALUE PACKED EXCELLENT hotel choice. Met at the desk by Krystal, one of the staff members, who was SO Professional, SO helpful and SO friendly (don't you wish people like that existed at all hotels - they don't - but they do here). I upgraded to the suite so we could have more room to rest and I was not disappointed! Spacious, CLEAN, comfortable, and loads of extras you wouldn't expect to find - like a full kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, dual air conditioners for bedroom and living room, silverware, plenty of glasses and all the kitchen items you need to prepare a nice meal. Definitely worth the money. We had a quiet nights sleep, woke well refreshed and we actually didn't want to leave a hotel for the first time ever - it was THAT NICE. Will definitely stay here again if we're ever driving through again. To the General Manager Darrell Spencer and to the Director of Operations LeShaunna Collins I have one thing to say: Whatever you pay Krystal, you should double it now, and thank you lucky stars you have someone like that working for you.Rooms: VERY CLEAN and orderly. You could tell they actually took the time to clean the room from top to bottom.”

“Loved the area, Cracker barrel next door. Beautiful Location. Friendly Staff, Natalie was Very Helpful. Stopped in from Vacation in Port Issabel, TEXAS. Was traveling back to Virginia. Stopped in Louisiana, Great American Owned.Rooms: Spacious, Microwave, small Refrigerator,Flat screen TV. AC and Heat if needed. They have a Out door Pool, But I didn't use it. Indoor Laundry machine's. Free Breakfast and Coffee ☕.Walkability: Inside Stairs and Elevator for Handicapped or Disabled or Elderly.Food & drinks: Vending, Some Snack to pick through. Coffee when you want It.”

“Exceptional find. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. The entire staff was friendly, kind and helpful... everyone, everytime you saw them. The property, throughout, was professionally maintained. You are not going to do better at this price point. I was stunned the rates were as low as they were at seeing the quality of the property / operation. All in all a very pleasant surprise - for a "budget" hotel, much nicer than that title implies.Rooms: Absolutely clean. “Where do I start. I checked in for one night to split up a long drive, called 2 times before I arrived to make sure the front desk would be open late. Was NEVER told about any additional fees. However, I was quoted $159 but charged $287 for one room, including a $100 deposit on "incidentals" that I explained would not be used. She said I had no choice but to pay it, and it would be credited back to my card "within 7 to 10 days". I checked out at 9am the next morning. Today I see 5 FIVE!!!! Yes, FIVE charges on my credit card from this Lake Charles Candlewood Suites hotel, totaling over $1000 dollars!! Why five charges?? Really??? What a fraudulent racket you have going!! Called the front desk and they said the General Manager is the one who added the additional charges -- one for $370, two for $187 each and the original $287, and one for a $3 ice cream bar that was melted when my grandson opened it, and was supposed to be refunded back to my card by the front desk clerk. Now I am travelling with over $800 additional dollars unexpectedly reduced from my credit card. The front desk said they were sorry and "would leave a note" for the general manager. I am on the road, so "sorry" is not really going to help put gas in ny car. If I could give this place a negative 10 I would!! Beware.Noteworthy details: Beware”

“Nice clean comfortable rooms. New owner totally renovated hotel and it's so improved. Felt like hotel was brand new. Checkin night staff very quick and friendly. Hotel had a small snack/food/sundries store inside. Many nearby restaurants, and convention arena is walkable. Lobby and breakfast seating was spacious. Hot free breakfast was filling and and appreciated. Choices included eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee, tea, juice, cereal, breads, sweet muffins, yogurt, and milk. Great overnight stay, with many casinos within 10 minutes. Great accommodations. Recommend.”

“This hotel was so clean the floors were shining. The room was very clean and the hotel smelled fresh. The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet even though it’s right on the interstate. The front desk staff was fabulous and friendly. I had to call them three times because my reservation wasn’t showing up in the system and not once did they sound irritated or rude. We will be staying here again and I am telling anyone who ask to stay there.Rooms: The beds were very comfy. The floors were clean. The bathroom was spotless. It smelled good.”

“Overall, I had a great experience at the Hampton Inn Lake Charles. We got checked in by Sir Rodney, he was extremely pleasant and such a nice person to meet on arrival. “I'm a Diamond member and stay at a lot of Best Westerns around the country. I came on here and seen some bad reviews but decided to give it a try. I had a great experience. Clean rooms, fresh linens, friendly staff and loved the king suite layout. I stayed in room 202. There are 2 tvs. One in front of the couch and one in front of the bed. There is a bigger size mini fridge, microwave and a desk area. The staff was doing some work to the building but gave the impression that they constantly do work to improve the property. The breakfast was on par with Best Western and so were the beds which is why I like Best Western. The man behind the desk was working everyday I stayed there which was 7 days so did the house keepers which tells me they are hard workers and it also showed me they are suffering from a shortage of staff like the rest of the country. So remember that people can't make everyone happy but here they work 7 days a week trying to make everything perfect for their guests. Breakfast was your normal continental breakfast which was waffles,cereal,pastries, breads, fruits and yogurts, but also included eggs and a meat choice which rotated between sausage patties and links. They also have coffee and a juice machine. Oh also anyone on here complaining or comparing to the Best Western Plus they once stayed at are really not that smart. This is a Best Western that's Best Westerns mid tier hotel Sure stays are their bottom tier budget hotels then comes Best Western, then Best Western Plus, then Best Western Premier. The more you want to pay the better the amenities hence the names. Don't go trying to get a budget level hotel expecting Premium amenities it doesn't work that way.”

“My family an I drove down on the 11th an left on the 13th the front desk lady was very helpful an very nice an an let us know that they only had three house keepers working . That is a nice size property for just three house keepers. But they where friendly an nice a. Made sure we had what we needed.Rooms: The rooms was where great clean smelled fresh.”

“I have been staying at Motel 6 on and off for over a year. I have had no problems except for the housekeeper. She has lied to me, talked to me crazy. The lies that are made up almost got me kicked out. She has a horrible attitude and no reason at all. In fact this is the 4th or 5th time she has been so rude to the point it's uncomfortable and ready to find another place to stay all bc of housekeeper”
