The facilities are clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. What truly makes this hotel stand out is the exceptional customer service. Both the front desk staff who welcomed us at night and the team working in the morning were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful.
Every staff member we interacted with during our stay provided excellent service. The housekeeping team also deserves special recognition for keeping everything spotless and making us feel welcome.
We stayed for four days, and honestly, this has been one of the best hotel experiences we've had. We travel frequently throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Alabama for dog shows, and the level of hospitality we received here was second to none.
A standing ovation to the entire staff. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Highly recommended.”

“My check in was smooth, no wait. The room was spacious with several amenities. Just a tad bit of a wet odor smell on the carpets. I had an overall good stay. Bed was clean and comfortable. I just didn’t appreciate house keeping knocking on my door several times at 10:20am when checkout wasn’t until 11am. He stated he just wanted to check if anyone was still in the room. I was really pissed off because I was in a deep sleep and had my alarm set to wake up for check out. Also the night before I asked the front desk can I pay for a late check out and she stated the hotel didn’t offer a hour late check out so that was disappointing. Other than that the hotel was right off the interstate near plenty of restaurants and gas stations. I’d stay again.”

“Saw Gene Simmons concert at the hotel. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Playing in the casino. The young man that checked us in on arrival was very sweet and informative about things to do or places to eat.”

“We stopped after a 13 hr drive. The staff was nice and welcoming. The downstairs was fine and quiet. Our room was definitely moldy. It had a very strange small. It looked clean but there was certainly trapped moisture. The shower was old as hell. Hot running water and clean towels. The bed was comfortable and clean. My only problem with the room was the shower and the moist smell in the room.”

“This hotel was of current style of construction or design, utilizing modern materials and design elements well placed. It was clean and immaculately cared for. The current style wasn't for my liking as I'm more of a Hampton or Homewood suite style but so what, Tru was very fine. Rooms are on the smaller side, more comfortable for one person.
We were there due to a person catastrophic event whereby we need a safe place. What really made this hotel was the staff.
Upon arrival Karen at the front desk, hugged me and allowed me cry and comforted us. The next day she was strategic in helping us navigate all the things associated with the catastrophy including transportation and more.
The other person of note was Ms Cin, that card for the dining room. Wowser. That lady was stellar in her car for her area. But there more, she too offered so much care and comfort to us during our stay. She too is a much needed hugger and I loved and needed that so very much.
One other thing of note: the 3 wheeled carts are not good. We found them precarious and a danger to our belongings. They are a terrible design. If I were president, I'd replace those today.
Also, we left early due to the cost increasing exorbitant by the day. The original $133 was okay but not $219. Mercy!”

“We stayed at Best Western Plus in Lake Charles for just one night, but overall we had a good experience. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated. The front desk staff listened to our requests and gave us a great room.
The only thing I would improve is the breakfast - it could be more varied. Other than that, everything was very good. For the price, it’s definitely a good value.”

“This was our first time staying at this location. The check in was quick and the associate very nice. The room was great with the exception that there was a constant low level noise in the room from some type of machine. It kept coming on and off during the night. The breakfast was ok. “Nice hotel. One thing we love are the full size pillow on our king size bed. Air conditioner is nice and cold.
Have stayed here twice. Both times the front desk staff has been so very accommodating, check in was easy and pleasant. Nice atmosphere of hotel, which is non smoking. So no odor in hallways or room. Has a nice breakfast area and tables. A little off of the interstate but nice large parking lot easy access. Will stay again when passing thru Southwest Louisiana.”
