“Nice hotel. One thing we love are the full size pillow on our king size bed. Air conditioner is nice and cold. Have stayed here twice. Both times the front desk staff has been so very accommodating, check in was easy and pleasant. Nice atmosphere of hotel, which is non smoking. So no odor in hallways or room. Has a nice breakfast area and tables. A little off of the interstate but nice large parking lot easy access. Will stay again when passing thru Southwest Louisiana.”

“It's not the isle of capri, but thank you for keeping it as close as you could. The main reason we come to the horseshoe is for a dealer named maria, and everyone here makes you feel at home. I understand it's a service based business, but the staff here it's not nice because of that. They go one step further, and i believe. They truly care about you. From their heart. My wife and I will keep coming here until the day we die. God bless the entire staff. I saw a review. That's when you can't eat pizza by the slice every meal. There are several restaurants in the casino. To obtain of four range of cuisine.”

“Excellent hotel with outstanding service! The facilities are clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. What truly makes this hotel stand out is the exceptional customer service. Both the front desk staff who welcomed us at night and the team working in the morning were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. Every staff member we interacted with during our stay provided excellent service. The housekeeping team also deserves special recognition for keeping everything spotless and making us feel welcome. We stayed for four days, and honestly, this has been one of the best hotel experiences we've had. We travel frequently throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Alabama for dog shows, and the level of hospitality we received here was second to none. A standing ovation to the entire staff. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Highly recommended.”

“Thank you Frank, thank you Clyde, thank you the whole staff for exceptional service and hospitality. I was able to pull in my giant fifth wheel and had plenty of parking space to park comfortably. I was able to bring my two blue healers, then gifted me a doggy bag with treats, pee pads, and dog poop bags. I drove all the way from California to make a pitstop here and I was extremely happy and felt extremely comfortable. I was able to get a workout in, delicious espresso, coffee, breakfast for days and of course, the gym. Wasn’t able to jump in the pool because I was too busy trying to catch up on sleep. Here’s some pictures. Hope you enjoy them.”

“Lake Charles is my home town and I came home for a family emergency, a devastating one…I need to share just how loving, truly caring and amazing 2 special people were. Rodney and Ms Betsy. Last night I walked into the lobby and I must have looked a serious mess because he gave me the best biggest hug and prayed over my family and Ms. Betsy insisted on walking me to my room personally to ensure I was ok. I have always preferred Hilton brands but this one, and this team showed me and my family so much compassion I will never forget it.”

“This was a great unplanned overnight stop location. I booked it on Expedia from the Mexican restaurant around the corner, and checked in 30 minutes later with no issues. Room was in great condition, very clean hotel, and fast service with check in and check out.”

“After our last devestatingly awful experience with a Hilton hotel, this was place was amazing. We've stayed at Hilton chains for over a decade and this hotel has by far exceeded expectations. The room was the cleanest room we've ever stayed in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, incredibly clean and the furnishings did not have the dirty and worn look that seem to be the new standard. If you are in town for a night or an extended stay, I highly recommend you stop here first.”

“We stopped after a 13 hr drive. The staff was nice and welcoming. The downstairs was fine and quiet. Our room was definitely moldy. It had a very strange small. It looked clean but there was certainly trapped moisture. The shower was old as hell. Hot running water and clean towels. The bed was comfortable and clean. My only problem with the room was the shower and the moist smell in the room.”

“This hotel was of current style of construction or design, utilizing modern materials and design elements well placed. It was clean and immaculately cared for. The current style wasn't for my liking as I'm more of a Hampton or Homewood suite style but so what, Tru was very fine. Rooms are on the smaller side, more comfortable for one person. We were there due to a person catastrophic event whereby we need a safe place. What really made this hotel was the staff. Upon arrival Karen at the front desk, hugged me and allowed me cry and comforted us. The next day she was strategic in helping us navigate all the things associated with the catastrophy including transportation and more. The other person of note was Ms Cin, that card for the dining room. Wowser. That lady was stellar in her car for her area. But there more, she too offered so much care and comfort to us during our stay. She too is a much needed hugger and I loved and needed that so very much. One other thing of note: the 3 wheeled carts are not good. We found them precarious and a danger to our belongings. They are a terrible design. If I were president, I'd replace those today. Also, we left early due to the cost increasing exorbitant by the day. The original $133 was okay but not $219. Mercy!”

“Nice inside room was ok..till about 2am the ac leaked all over the carpet. We went out to casino. When we came back found our room door open. They had pulled the AC unit out. No one there to watch our room. There was not another room for us to move to. Upset about room being unlocked and open. A hour later ac was back in and working. But room smells musty.”

“Stopped in for a night while traveling. Clean room, comfy bed and a hot shower. We had a 1 king suite and it was quite nicer than what I expected for the money. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was standard as far as election goes, but I must say the eggs and sausage were among the better I’ve ever had at any hotel. Highly recommended.”
