the price may be a little higher than other places but it's worth it. Also, it's really kind of crafty for Ace hardware to put themselves inside a Rouses. it's very convenient for ACE to be by the dairy section. Seemingly and consistently end up purchasing items that you had no intention of even looking at when you first walked into the store? To have Rouses w/Ace hardware within their Grocery Store it gives the impression of what Walmart used to be ,wanted to be, and cared to be? Rouses must have customer service top priority, as their employees, managers, top to bottom, have actually turned their stores into a shopping experience that is actually nice. When a customer can go into a DG which should be a quick in and out and turns into total frustration because anything and pretty much everything you may want is not on the shelf... it's not in stock ....it's possible it's in the boxes?? But hey when somebody is trying to sit behind a desk at the corporate office looking at numbers like well our store is only 6,000 sq ft? so we should be able to take care of that with 200 total man hours!! I would definitely like to see the numbers that would compare hiring two extra people for sales floor. Opposed to the amount that is shoplifted in a day's time?? It's kind of like ...if you have to go get TIED FROM behind the counter? there's a damn issue when you're having to hide laundry detergent from shoplifters!
so basically when Walmart wakes up these days they want to be Rouses... Rouses employees actually will ask if there's anything that you need or if they can help you with anything which is a nice touch for customer service. Stores like Dollar General family Dollar what not had a pretty good thing going until they decided to try and run stores off of 200 total hours a week so now there's no stock on the shelves everything's walking out the door and they're going to charge everybody else for theft, whenever all they have to do is hire a couple more employees even at $15/$18 or $20 an hour two more employees would cost a $50 an hour and reduce the shoplifting tremendously definitely would be worth $50 an hour I would say which is the reason that I will always shop rouses first second third priority and I will always win possible use Ace inside of rouses because of the convenience!”
